Hi following my last colitis flare up Iv been left with severe inflammation and pain i have proctitis and currently on mesalamine and suppository lidocaine for pain. Has anybody else had this after a flare up?

It sounds as though your flare is not over yet! Are you in touch with your Gastro team for advice? Maybe you need to step up a level with meds -steroid enemas might calm things down. Hope things improve soon.
