I can't think of a better subject heading. For the last few weeks my bowels have becomes very erratic. Up until now, I haven't had any problems except constipation caused by pain meds and solved with a glug of lactulose. For well over a week I've felt bunged up something terrible , with a noticeable

elevated CA 19-9
Does anyone here have elevated CA 19-9? This is a cancer marker for Bile duct and/or Pancreas.I have slightly elevated Ca 19-9, slightly elevated AMA M2, slightly elevated Pancreatic enzyme but LTFs and MRCP are normal (except moderately enlarged bile duct which may be caused by gallbladder removal).

SeCHAT Study
Has anyone had it done? I went for my first referrall appointment at the hospital and they took my bloods and have also sent me to have a colonoscopy. I really don't think I'm ready for that :( But I've had a letter through today regarding a SeCHAT scan which sounds really promising! It basically measures

Just saying Hello
It's been a while since I've posted. Just wanted to say hello! It's been 3 months since my COPD diagnosis. My first and so far only exacerbation lasted a while. My doctor changed some meds. I have a new inhaler Anoro Ellipta that seems to work amazingly. He also prescribed Montelukast Sodium. Still doing

Euthanasia or what?
I wrote several months ago about a lady I met at the clinic having Keytruda. I hadn't heard from her in quite awhile so I sent her a text to enquire about how the drug was going and how she was. About a day later her husband replied with the news that she had passed a few months earlier. That news with

Need to say this about anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds.
There are many people who die from respiratory distress from taking these medications. Such as Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, or Xanax, Klonopin, Valium., etc. They do suppress our breathing guys!! My husband and I ran across this while researching COPD. I fully realize the benefit one might have from

Lifetime constipation sufferer. So glad..
To have found this forum. Another day of excruciating pain and trips to the bathroom. Currently on a daily dose of lactulose but it just isn't working as well. Will be so glad for the support received here and to be able to offer some too! How we suffer with this and how lonely it can feel. Good to

Still fighting the fight
Hi, I'm a 46 year old wife and mom of 5. I was dx stage IV metastatic rectal cancer 3 years ago. Originally, I was given 2 years but, by the grace of God, I'm still here and am having more good days than bad days. I'm glad to be welcomed and to be part of this online community 💙

CT Scan
Hi all you lovely ladies Have any of you been asked to just drink water an hour before your scan and no contrast at all? Apparently this is being trialled and my friend is quite worried that she was asked as her prognosis is now palliative. She is now concerned that something could be missed and could

Prescription for nature
We all know that walking in the nature reduces stress, but recently it has been suggested that the chemicals trees and plants produce fight off insects can strengthen our immune system. Over here in Finland they predict that in the future you might get a prescription for nature as we have become so

One week in Gabapentin
Thanks to all of you who took the time to share their experiences with Gabapentin with me 😊 I've been taking it for a week now in conjunction with norflex. I wasn't in a hurry to get my dose up to the prescribed 3x3 daily so I kept it at 3x1 per day for almost the last week, increasing to 2 at night
