Possible Bowel Cancer
My boyfriend is only 24 and has had on and off bleeding when he goes to the toilet for around 2 years. He went to the doctors last year and was given suppositories with suspected hemorrhoids. The bleeding eased off (so he said) but was still an obvious problem. After nagging for months, he finally

Worried that my 17 year old daughter has colon cancer
I sadly lost my brother to bowl cancer in 2012. After months of being told that he had gastroenteritis or tummy bug. He was then made to feel that he was being a pest, so stopped speaking help. My brother was 40 when he died and only lived for 6 months after they found the stage 4 tumour. They never

Positive Fit scared
I had a positive fit. I can see no blood in stool. Every now and then when I wipe there is a little blood on toilet paper. Is this common? I have a coloscopy this week. Really worried. Is this common?

Using Lactulose long term
Does anyone know if it is safe to use Lactulose long term? I have IBS-C and have tried all the other remedies such as kiwis, psyllium, prunes ,linseeds, chia seeds and I drink plenty of water but find they either don’t work or give me terrible griping pains. Although I’d prefer to take a natural product

End of life
Im slowing watching my husband reach the end after a
bowel
obstruction
& perferation (caused by
bowel
adhering to itself) 6 weeks ago which he got through & in the end several episodes of sepsis have severally reduced his liver function that treatment was no longer working.

Collagen
Hello all. I've been puzzled by one question for a while already... When looking to buy face cream for example I keep stumbling across wrinkle-reducing skin care products which promise great results through the use of added collagen. Having scleroderma, which is essentially an overproduction of collagen

I had my consultant appointment today with my usual asthma consultant, my first appointment since my ct scan confirmed bronchiectasis with pseudomonas. cologuard vs colonoscopy
I’m on watch and wait for about five years now. So far, a most indolent diagnosis. My question is about colon cancer screening. Is the non-invasive cologuard acceptable rather than a colonoscopy? I had a colonoscopy ten years ago and was clean. I’m due again and am wondering about cologuard vs. colonoscopy

HOLIDAY INSURANCE.
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with CLL in August 2018 and so far have remained on watch and wait. In September 2019, I had successful surgery for colon cancer, had a stoma for 6 months and then a reversal and have been "all clear" since then. Also, as a bonus, the chemo I had for the colon cancer

Update on Mum, bowel blockage and TPN advice.
Mum is in
bowel
obstruction
again, and is now at home trying to make something of her remaining life, but unfortunately that’s pretty hard given the obstruction and symptoms. Second opinion has been sought with Basingstoke and is to be heard next Tuesday.

22, positive FIT test.
Hey all, wanted to get some opinions on my situation. For years now, since about 16, I have been having occasional blood in stool, abdominal pain, and gas and bloating. I've been to different doctors three times for this, all of which told me hemorrhoids without really checking anything out. Recently

Paying for Horizant
Arbor Pharmaceuticals, the maker of Horizant, has a patient assistance program. If you're in the US you could be paying $55 a month (plus shipping) by applying to them directly. You can be on Medicare and still get this benefit. None of the cost is reimbursable by Medicare or any other insurance program
