recommendations needed for a pressure relief cushion
All through Covid and lockdown I had 3 monthly appointments.6 monthly lung function
tests
and various
blood
tests
. I have access to a palliative care consultant, who is very supportive. Also ,the invaluable interstitial nurse helpline. So,I decided that it’s not too bad after all.

Timing blood tests for folate/B12
Sorry for asking what must be a common question..Do you need to stop folate 2 days before testing? Is it 2 or 4 months for B 12 please? Thank you

I cannot trust my GP
Though once I was completely knocked out , I was furious and lost it on my GP and forced him to give
blood
tests
. And I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and B12 deficiency. Even though he was not keen asked for a gastroenterology referal.

Why was I offered a Statin, so simply and so automatically?
Hi group, Sorry, this may be down to my naiveity but, a couple weeks ago I went and had my annual
blood
tests
and normally I log onto the NHS App a day after to see and check the results. Everything was well and normal apart from my chorlestorol which came back as borderline.

Not obvious query
It may come down to cost but I would say having it removed is in the long term cheaper than countless
blood
tests
and a lifetime of free prescriptions 🤔 Sorry if this question seems daft or obvious but I have been pondering it for a while and would like to know the answer. Thank you 😊

Welcome to the fear of night time club
Tried all kinds of meds, sleeping tablets, accupuncture, excersise, endless
blood
tests
nothing works. So the future looks very grim.

I’m finding it hard to cope with my partner’s reaction to his diagnosis of cirrhosis ☹️
He has been a heavy drinker for a number of years now and these investigations started after routine
blood
tests
flagged some issues with
blood
results. He feels well in himself, so had no concerns.

He listened and checked my chest and heart and has organised an x-ray,
blood
tests
and ECG and heart muscle test because he thinks it might be mild Atrial Frib. or Tachycardia (sp?) He noted a high pulse rate and some different heart rhythms.

Can PMR last for 5years+?
In my favour as regards the possible downside of pred I'm very fortunate that a recent dexa scan says no treatment required and there are no signs of liver problems or diabetes in
blood
tests
. All grist to the mill! I would really appreciate your help.

so confusing
She also put me on a 15 day prednisone trial starting at 20mg, which I started after the
blood
tests
and x-rays. Within 4 hours of the first dose I felt normal again, could get off the couch, touch the floor, attend to bathroom hygiene easily, etc.

Finger prick blood test - gentle squeeze finger top before stabbing - gamechanger for me?
Over last year I have done maybe 7
blood
tests
, many failing to get enough red stuff. Getting enough
blood
out has been a nightmare for me ... thank you monitor my health for sending me retests and not banning me, Video below says squeeze top of finger before doing the lancing - Wow.

I’m back again …5th cycle 🤞
Annoyingly at this appointment the Doctor advised I have more detailed
blood
tests
, if positive I would be adding in Humira and intralipids and something else. But would mean postponing the cycle for another 2-3 months.

Immunologist tomorrow! What to ask?
Her primary care doctor/PA appointment ran a bunch of normal
blood
tests
, and turned up low Immunoglobulin A Qn Serum 78 (scale of 87-352), while the IgG and IgM were normal, so I think that's the main reason for the referral.

Back to gp to ask about last thyroid bloods🤦
Hi everyone ❤️ So I posted a couple of days ago about the abysmal treatment by my surgery in me getting new thyroid
blood
tests
🤦 First I should point out my surgeon in Liverpool requested these thyroid bloods because (1) , I've been off thyroid medication since January 31st (no thyroid) I had a 4D
