PMR with shoulder and buttock pain
Recent
blood
tests
have come back as normal. I should also mention that I had back surgery last Feb for stenosis on L4 L5 and this was successful. Any thoughts please.

Blood tests, T3 and talking to GP
Hi & happy new year, I started a trial of T3 at the end of November (privately sourced) and was planning on testing my bloods in February. It’s still early days but I do feel ‘better’. My GP has called me in for annual blood test next week, a 1.00pm appointment as no early morning ones available.

Fertility and Hormone Blood Tests
I am just wondering if there are any that someone may recommend? I think I am basically looking for a comprehensive test (at home preferably) that checks all the key things. There are a few available but some test offer different tests to others if you see what I mean. I would be grateful for any idea

Is anyone here familiar with metabolomic analysis?
In short, if I understood correctly, it differs from regular
blood
tests
by looking for the concentration of things (like amino acids, minerals, polyphenol, etc...) within your cells rather than the concentration in your blood.

PMR, blood tests, when to seek a rheumatologist, TMJ
Apologies for the long preamble but I wanted to know if I should have had any more
blood
tests
since diagnosis early Feb ? My surgery says not. Also , is there a link between PMR and TMJ (I’m having a very mild episode of jaw pain eg when eating apple and slight bruising)?

Low dose aspirin
Looking back on past
blood
tests
I noticed that since I was put on the low dose aspirin, due to being diagnosed with angina at the beginning of last year, my haemoglobin levels have dropped a bit although not to the point of being anemic until now.

Bubbling sensations in the rectum area and very low gurgling sounds, has anyone had the same?
I have had
blood
tests
and a colonoscopy. Everything is fine apart from high iron levels. But I was just wondering if anyone has had the same sensations/symptoms in the subject line? Any advice or reply from someone that has had the same symptoms would be appreciated.

Raynaud's without colour changes
I've told my NHS GP about this and I've had a set of
blood
tests
which reveal no problems. Is it common for people with Raynaud's to never have fingers or toes change colour or could this be something else my GP missed?

Liothyronine in Portugal
I’m moving to Portugal in 2 weeks and feeling overwhelmed with how to access regular
blood
tests
and find a compounding pharmacy to make up my liquid T3 meds and some other meds that are prescribed by my consultant. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Test results
I had some
blood
tests
as im feeling really exhausted running on empty and really cold all the time. I enclose the results which all look normal could it be low cortisol which I had done a year ago. I've been through major stress and operation plus other health problems.

isolated waking headache
The MRI of head showed bulky pituitary but hormone
blood
tests
normal . Have tried indomethacin and recently candastartan which I had to stop as it caused angiodema . Neurologist said maybe try lithium next but she’s not sure it’s hypnic headache as didn’t respond to caffeine .

Worth switching meds?
I have no idea if the Peg would help control this belly bloat, so it's a risk, along with more frequent
blood
tests
and consults. I suppose I'm asking if it's worth the meds change. Love to hear from those who made the changeover. Incidentally, I'm almost 72, but still figure/weight conscious.

What is an Osteoarthritis flare?
I went to A&E as I assumed it was my cruciate ligament but, after X-rays and
blood
tests
, which were all normal, I was told it was an osteoarthritis 'flare'?? They wouldn't do an MRI as they said even if it was a tear, the remedy is the same, rest, ice, elevate.
