Had an ultrasound on my neck after pain in lower neck and ear pain. Dr advised right side of thyroid is very inflamed and left side shriveled with one nodule and should have further blood tests. Heard nothing so chased after 4 weeks and have been given a telephone call with ENT.
I've had two low thyroid blood tests which GP earlier this year but they just say come back for a retest in 6 months....and repeat. Sadly don't know actual levels.
My body just aches all the time plus cold and brain fog.
Confused regarding thyroid being both inflamed and shrunken. Is this an immune response?
Thank you

first step is to get hold of previous blood test results and ranges
You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.
The best way to get access to current and historic blood test results is to register for online access to your medical record and blood test results
UK GP practices are supposed to offer everyone online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need "enhanced access" to see blood results.
