High number of medications
I take 14 medications for heart failure, diabetes 2, GCA, High blood pressure, COPD and a CRT-D fitted. Yet I feel worn out and depressed. My legs are weak and losing muscle tone, my blood pressure crashes when I take my medication.I hardly go out now. Each department has this competition to change or

Ectopics and bisoprolol
Hi, I had a big increase in the number of ectopics I get last year. Also, had bigeminy and atrial tachycardia. Cardiologist suggested 1.25mg of bisoprolol which helped reduce the number for a few weeks but then they became even worse so I was advised to take 2.5mg. Same story: some improvement for a

AF and air pressure
During the last 3 weeks I seem to have developed yet another symptom which took me some time to identify. Having eliminated all my usual triggers I seem to react with AF both to falling and increasing air pressure. The last episode took almost 2 days, was tachycard, pretty unpleasant as I couldn't stand

Anyone taking Anticoagulants for AF, together with Alendronic Acid for Osteoporosis?
I've got AF and taking Edoxaban. I'm also taking Atorvastatin, Ramipril, Bisoprolol and Levothyroxine.I've just been told that I have Osteoporosis, which is a side effect of taking Letrozole for 5 years for breast cancer. Alendronic Acid can help osteoporosis, together with taking calcium and vitamin

NSTEMI and BP / Heart Rate
Hoping for some enlightenment here to satisfy my own curiosity. Had an NSTEMI July 2022- and all is good now - no other intervention beyond yr1 meds - now just Bisoprolol, Atorvastin and Disc Aspirin. Moderate lifestyle changes have seen weight fall from 94.6 on discharge to 77.6 this morning - consistent

Insurance. Visit, stay with family
Hi, My son and his wife would like us to visit and stay with them for three months next year. They are happy to come over to the uk from Bulgaria and drive us back. Had a By pass 8 years ago, relatively fine for age 78, can walk a few miles not rushing. Breathless on inclines but probably to do more

mild short headaches
hi since I’ve been prescribed Bisoprolol 1.25 and edoxaban 60 mg I’m getting short lasting headaches every now and then. I’ve never suffered these before so am putting it down to the meds. Does anyone else on these tablets get these? I also seem to be getting sensitive to bright lights, unless I’m totally

Palpitation flare ups
Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone else has palpitation flare ups... I have a long history of irregular heart beats, had a cardioversion in 2013 and a cryoablation in 2018. Since the ablation I have been mostly stable apart from about 10 or so thumps a day but about every 3 or 4 months I get a period

What’s an acceptable rate?
so I’m back in afib, doctor sent me home with 2.5mg of bisoprolol and also blood thinners. At moment my heart rate when not doing a lot (sitting down watching tv) is around 90-100bpm. Sometimes In the 70s and 80s and even lower 60s and possible 50s when asleep! So basically I’d say my base rate is

Atrial fibrillation
Diagnosed with persistent AF 4 months ago completely out of the blue. Hadn't noticed anything different at all. Put on RIVAROXABAN and bisoprolol. Had an unsuccessful cardioversion and now feel like I'm on a treadmill I can't get off. Messing with my mental health too. How co you all cope?

Hi all, I have HBP, and have gone through a whole load of very bad experiences with BP meds. But what is just amazing to me is that doctor's simply do not acknowledge that us humans can possibly not tolerate a lot of these ( I feel very toxic medications) I saw at great expense, a professor in London

When you talk about heart rate on here . Do you mean the red pulsing heart ? On Apple Watch .
I’m starting to ignore the ecg as it’s getting me and hubby confused so concentrating on the red heart on the Apple Watch . As I think the ecg counts the flutters from the top part of the heart thst gets confused with the electrical signals . The heart function nurse said that digoxin can mask the problem
