Good morning to you. May I ask what dose of Bisoprolol are you on? I take 2.5mg per day for Atrial fibrillation and can take as much as 10mg if needed. I also take 75mg Losartan for high blood pressure. Maybe you’re on too low a dose so do check with your doctor and let him know how you feel. Take care xxx

Good morning, thankyou for replying, I'm on one 2.5mgs daily,as I have a lot of anxiety I thought maybe it's this that is still causing palpitations, my gp took me off Citalopram when I Began the beta blocker, so I'm gonna ask her today if I can start taking them again,I'm hoping this will help, good luck to you.

We're not medically qualified to answer your question. Your pharmacist should be able to help. You need to go back to your GP if the palpitations don't go away. Best wishes.

Thankyou for your reply Alberta56,I am aware that the reply are merely opinions and advice from anyone experiencing similar situations which is very helpful. I would always consult my gp or my pharmacy before taking any other meds.good luck to you.

Hi - I have heart valve leaks, and I get palpitations. Not funny are they?

I have never been on " Bisoprolol" as I have a slow heart rate, I have Amiodarone instead - A nasty drug that has wrecked my thyroid - What else can we do?

I have 5 heart meds and I thought to much, but where would I be without them, drugs for other problems also.

What I am saying, you get used to the drugs, Better treated then left,

To answer you question if your combination of drugs is helping your irregular heart beat, then it has to be in your best interest to take them.

Any side effect that worry you, let your GP know, last thing to want is your irregular heart rate (Undertreated)

All the best,.

I am not a physician but I had similar symptoms and they were related to my thyroid function. Are your thyroid tests within normal parameters?

Hi Whyme lord, I am an 7.5mg Bisoprolol for atrial fibrillation and on other meds too. At first the 2.5mg Bisoprolol gave me real breathing problems and light headedness for a while. I wonder if the cause could be that too. Also on Apixaban. I still sometimes get palpitations but Dr says it's normal to have ectopic beats. Different people seem to experience different symptoms. Best to check with your GP and even better with your Cardiologist. With referrals being lengthy, I have on occasions, gone private for peace of mind. But I understand not everybody can afford to do this, my private insurance only partly funds my consultations. I wish you the very best and hope you get the answers you need.
