Mistrust of Hysterscopy procedure
I have heard so many horrible things, like perforating the bowel, hemorrhage, and if the mass I have is contained cancer that the
biopsy
could pierce the mass and therefore spread it?! These are valid fears to me, as I now have quite a mistrust of the NHS over the past few years.

Biopsy Results
Even though I've commented on other posts, this is my first. In July I coughed up blood, saw the GP who organised a chest x-ray. The GP called me an hour after the x-ray to tell me I had a 6cm shadow on my right lung and it could be cancer. After meeting a respiratory consultant, I had CT scan, PET scan

Prostate Biopsy
I have had several biopsies both with and without general anesthesia. With general anesthesia they were a breeze no problems at all. My last one on Friday was hell. Not the procedure I woke up feeling great until It was time to urinate. Only a couple drops of urine and blood and then the intense pain

Endo!
I'm reaching out for advice. I've had Endo for years now. 4 Laparoscopy surgeries. The last one they removed my left ovary. For the past 7 months I've experienced chronic pelvic and back pain. I've also have recurring discharge, no odour light yellow in colour. The doctors are baffled! I'm 57 now and

Report on FNB😞
I recently had a FNB(fine needle
biopsy
) on a mass (13x12mm) in my right thyroid bed, the surgeon in Liverpool gave me the results, which at this present time is confusing me🤔Firstly my blood work shows primary hyperparathyroidism. Bloods taken June 22nd 2023.

Pain in the lower tailbone?
Just receiving my diagnosis post MRI and
biopsy
and don’t yet have a Gleason score but doc says 99% sure the tumor found in my prostate is cancer. For the last few months I’ve been experiencing pain in my lower tailbone (coccyx) but every doc has said that is not a symptom of PC.

Percentage of tissue with carsinoma when Gleason 9 and accuracy of normal ct scan
So far we have only PSA-value 40,
biopsy
results and normal ct-scan. Waiting for more bone scans and meeting with doctors will be after that.

Lymphedema after mastectomy & sentinel node biopsy
Hello,I was wondering if anyone has experienced lymphedema in their arm 1 year + after a sentinel node
biopsy
. I had a hysterectomy procedure yesterday and they told me I can't have IV's, blood draws or blood pressure checks in my right arm because they removed lymph nodes.

PV with Exon 12 Mutation & Besremi Treatment Experiences
The diagnosis was confirmed via a bone marrow
biopsy
. In the span of 2 months, I underwent 10 phlebotomies, but my HCT levels remained persistently above 52. Consequently, I started treatment with Besremi.

Implantation clinic, experienced?
I believe they complete a
biopsy
from the uterus and test this for NK cells testing and also tests when I am optimal to have transfer as we may be transferring to early/too late etc- im not sure to be honest! Please let me know as I’d be really interested to hear experiences, positive or not! X

Good news for me…at least I think so.
I got the results of my Liver
Biopsy
and it revealed mild NASH with stage 1 fibrosis. I was scared of possible cirrhosis because my fibroscan showed S3/F4. So my
biopsy
had better news in my opinion. All I really need to do now is eat healthier and exercise.

Awful taste in mouth - is this a Sjogren's thing?
I was tested for Sjogren's by a rheumatologist around 10 years ago, but because the lip
biopsy
was negative I was simply discharged without diagnosis and told it wasn't Sjogren's. So, of course, I've had no treatment for it at all. More recently, my mouth does seem to be becoming drier than it was.

I have to see a vascular surgeon (about a
biopsy
no doubt), a trip to the Victoria General Eye Clinic to check out the eyes and finally, a trip to "my Rheumatologist" who will be receiving a letter.

Lung Surgery Cancelled Twice
After an incidental find of a 19mm lung nodule and a clear PET scan in late October my respiratory consultant was sure it was a slow growing cancer caught early and recommended, which was agreed by me, that rather than a
biopsy
I go straight to surgery for a lung wedge resection to remove the nodule

Rising PSA
Is a
biopsy
now the right thing to do? Or, alternately, do some scans first, perhaps try a course of Cipro in case it’s bacterial prostatitis, … etc? How else can he test for something other than PCa before proceeding with
biopsy
? What other steps would you suggest?
