Lung Surgery Cancelled Twice

I go straight to surgery for a lung wedge resection to remove the nodule

Is a
biopsy
now the right thing to do? Or, alternately, do some scans first, perhaps try a course of Cipro in case it’s bacterial prostatitis, … etc? How else can he test for something other than PCa before proceeding with
biopsy
? What other steps would you suggest?

Hi I'm new and looking for some insight away from the walls of medics. My story starts 3 years ago, I was bleeding more than I wasn't. Awaiting confirmation of GCA
Had more blood tests , awaiting
biopsy
and will have further appt with rheumatology on Tuesday. Feeling a bit thrown by the suddenness of it all and the implications of a
biopsy
and possibility of having to be on steroids long time, risks to sight etc.

6 weeks post lung transplant.
Home now and what a relief. 22 days in ICU resulting in muscle waste in legs so starting all over again with stairs etc. Wound pain 8/10 especially when bending or reaching out. 30% loss of vision due to minor stroke at bottom of brain. The docs seem quite happy with results which is brilliant but

Advanced Liver Fibrosis only 28.
After this she was quickly scheduled in for a
biopsy
. The
biopsy
came back as advanced liver fibrosis (border line cirrhosis) with evidence of slight fatty liver and inflammation but no signs of autoimmune disease.

Starting phlebotomies soon but not sure if this is the right approach?
Hi all, I'm 65 and was diagnosed last summer via bone marrow
biopsy
and genetic testing as having JAK2 positive ET. I started taking hydroxyurea 3 times a week, and my platelets are now down into the 500s.

PSA after the radical prostatectomy
The surgeon I saw booked a date for removal operation without doing
biopsy
. I trusted him so i did but after 10 weeks, my PSA was still around 7 (another clinic showed 9). No spread to outside the gland except one lymph node was found canceous of the
biopsy
of the removed prostate.

Biopsy 2 years post treatment
I was just told by my oncologists office (Zelefsky) that it is now standard practice at MSKCC to perform a 14 core
biopsy
to check for any residue cancer cells even if the PSA has been trending in the right direction (8.5 one year ago, 1.35 now), at the 2 year mark.

Things have gone from bad to worse; need some hope and guidance.
I also wanted to ask if the
biopsy
does come back being +'ve for the neuroendocrine variation, what then? Does Lutetium DOTATATE help? Has anyone used booking health to go to Germany? We like the look of it because it includes insurance for if complications arrive.

Feeling hopeless
Their main concern was the thickened endometrium which they’ve ordered a hysteroscopy and a
biopsy
for. I’m just wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything similar? While I was in hospital I ended up needing morphine to manage my pain.

Bone marrow biopsy frequency ?
I had my first nine marrow
biopsy
6 years ago now. The emergency consultant I saw then did BMB to get baseline levels as well as confirmation of E.T However I was then transferred to my local haematology consultant who said she wouldn't have bothered with a BMB.

Chemo damaged my bone marrow.
I’m so worried that I now have myleodysplasia or acute leukemia and am afraid to have bone marrow
biopsy
. My oncologist said if I do have this, there isn’t much to be done. Has this happened to others?

Very scared for life. Need assistance
Anyways this new hematologist sent me for bone marrow
biopsy
, cytogenetic study, ruling out all secondary causes too, my bmb is normal so she said it's nothing probably could be a rare cause we don't know, but asked me to keep visiting the hospital with CBC reports.

Long Term Hematospermia
I done many tests, including a
biopsy
in jul 20, and PSA tests along the way. Took a very strong antibiotic, which messed up my digestive system, making it slower than it was. Anyway, this this has still not disappeared. It's not painful. Is there anyone else who's had the same/ have the same?

Progressed
He wants to do a CT scan and bone
biopsy
to be 100% sure the disease has progressed. If it has - has given me two options: Venetoclax + Rituximab OR LOXO 305 trial . Any thoughts folks? Anybody on one of these 2nd line treatments? Thanks Steve

Go through with radical prostatectomy or explore Hifu?
My
biopsy
confirmed cancer in multiple samples: (left base: 60% of 1 of 3 cores; left mid: 75% of 1 of 3 cores; left apex: 15% and 20% of 2 of 3 cores; left anterior: 20 % and 80% of 2 of 3 cores; CF1: 15% of 1 of 3 cores). All the right-side core samples were benign tissue.

Post operative PSA persistence and outcome
He is a Gleason 9, RALP
biopsy
results were hopeful, negative margins, no lymph or SV invasion. Initial bone scan was also negative and MRI didn’t show any activity outside the prostate. Do any of you have any experiences that may help us understand what going forward might look like.
