Prolaris Test Helps ID Higher-risk Patients Who May Safely Skip ADT when receiving radiation for PCa
Prolaris predicts cancer aggressiveness by analyzing the activity of 46 genes involved in cancer cell proliferation, using tissue collected during a
biopsy
to confirm a cancer diagnosis or during surgery to remove the prostate.

How long of a delay in treatment is too long? And how does weak urinary flow interface with RT?
In addition, he sent off tissue samples from my
biopsy
to get a Decipher test. His hunch is that despite my "mild EPE" (per MRI) and my Gleason 3+4, my Decipher number will be low enough to warrant RT without hormones.

I had
biopsy
03.09.07 (Gleason score 3+7) and prostatectomy 10.11.07. PSA started to rise soon after. Since then I have had radiation and been more or less on Zoladex injections the whole time. I started Xtandi in April 2019 and switched to Nubeqa December 2021.

Genetics - Some answers but not all
Received my husband's somatic mutation report from the liver and lymph
biopsy
. Not clear yet if the MSI test report is back. In the meantime, the lack of good response to hormonal drugs and chemo might be explained by the following.

Some good Clonoseq results
So, my doctor has scheduled a bone marrow
biopsy
to do further testing. If that too comes back negative, I will be able to go off treatment. I started my diagnosis at stage 4, in Summer of 2021 and immediately began combination therapy of Calquence plus .

update on biopsy
I have just received my results from temporal
biopsy
which is showing no sign of inflammation which doesn’t really surprise me. I will speak to rheumatologist again in January to see what the next plan of action is. Good news is finally got gp to prescribe h2 blocker instead of ppi.

When to stop ADT post RT given the situation and moderate hypofractionated RT
I had Gleason 7 (3+4) in January 2020 with PSA never above 5.1 until sudden jump to 8 by October 2021 and opted to try HIFU which failed to reduce PSA and a subsequent
biopsy
showed a Gleason 9 in a different previously biopsied negative cores area.

Chemotherapy for pv
Before Christmas it was suggested that I have a bone marrow
biopsy
and have just received the results. Apparently I have 7% leukaemia cells within my bone marrow. The course of treatment they are suggesting is a month in hospital on aggressive chemotherapy.

Does IBD leave evidence?
Hi. I just had a colonoscopy to try and diagnose an episode recently where I had v&d at food poisoning level which caused bleeding. Following initial tests my fecal calprotectin came back at 780 with high ferritin, low folate and a positive qfit at 14. The colonoscopy picked up patchy inflammation

Ultrasound showed Static bowel area
Hi all, Have an update… June 2023 I had a colonoscopy a couple of days ago. They found 2 small polyps which were removed. They took 4 biopsies which will take approx 6 weeks before my GP will get results. I’ve also received an appointment for a CT Scan with Contrast for next week so am hopeful

Sister has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer
She has had mammogram,
biopsy
and ultrasound where they found 2 more lumps (3 total).I’m distraught and trying to be brave. Mum is in bits and I don’t know what to do to help. We should find out the results soon so can work out what’s next. She has 3 little girls too.

Biopsy Results
Even though I've commented on other posts, this is my first. In July I coughed up blood, saw the GP who organised a chest x-ray. The GP called me an hour after the x-ray to tell me I had a 6cm shadow on my right lung and it could be cancer. After meeting a respiratory consultant, I had CT scan, PET scan
