Hello. Simply the pathologist most likely has already written the histological report. It usually takes about two weeks to prepare histological paraffin blocks and stain histological specimens.
What is there to add. The report has already been written and tomorrow it will be announced to you. I think that it will not contradict your result of the fibroscan (regarding the level of liver fibrosis).
Embrace the early appointment, maybe someone else had to cancel and you got moved up the list. Much better than having to sit around waiting and worrying.
sending you some furry hugs, be brave its good that they are getting back to you so quickly and what ever comes from your appointment good or bad, it will help in managing the health of your liver. As they say the liver is so unpredictable but also in healing too, so I wish you a productive appointment and hope that there is positive news for you ❤️
I agree with Minks. The sooner you know what’s what the sooner you can relax or get treatment. Lots of hospitals seem to be putting in extra clinics to clear the backlog, it could be that you’re one of the lucky ones getting seen sooner.
Be positiveI woke up from bariatric surgery to be told that I had the surgery cancelled because they found I had a scarred liver and had converted surgery to a liver biopsy.
I was diagnosed with nafld resulting in liver cirrhosis.
Don't see a biopsy as a negative. See it as a means of catching a condition early. If the biopsy proves positive then you can make life adjustments.
I hear you saying you’re scared, and that’s understandable. Take deep breaths in and out, try to distract yourself with something you love to do, be with or talk to people you love. Try not to fault yourself for being worried. Everyone handles things and feels things differently. The good news is that regardless of the results, this Forum will be here to support you. Do check in afterward, if you’d like. We’re all pulling for you!
hi all, firstly thank you all for the kind and supportive messages.
Good and bad news hence taking a few days to process.
My biopsy confirmed stage 2 which is no worse than we thought so that’s a good thing in my mind.
Bad news is that the urgency of me going in was my bloods are still climbing as in white cells and haemoglobin are still climbing and I have to see the haematologist asap as all the symptoms and blood work points to a blood cancer.
Sounds awful but actually after speaking to the specialist and reading up as much as it’s not curable it’s very much just a pain in the back side and finding the right treatment plan so seeing a consultant on Tuesday.
I hope everyone else is doing well and again o thank all of you xx
