Had visit with Nephrologist
He is running a ton of tests and depending on what comes back, it might be
biopsy
time, or it might be to just eat better and exercise (get rid of some weight). He did say that I will need to have regular appointments to monitor where I'm at. So, overall, great news.

Insurance company refusing to pay out saying my Lymphoma is related to my CLL
After much consideration, and subsequent growth of the legion, I was eventually able to undergo a
biopsy
safely. After some debate with the MDT, the believe it to be a low grade lymphoma.

Dad, aged 76, 4.5cm mass on lung with COPD
When they determined his general health was poor, they seemed to change direction and I seem to recall (very blurry) they said they wouldn’t do PETscan nor
biopsy
if lung function less than 20%. Would we get these if we went privately? Would they be a good idea?

Possible ET but triple negative
As a result im off for a Bone marrow
biopsy
on tuesday. Will this definitely find out if I have ET?I must admit to not listening to what the consultant said after saying i need a BMB. Also im not due to see him till April as he seemed to think getting the results back takes a long time.

BMB is Over
The
biopsy
itself went quickly and a pathologist was on had to evaluate the quality of the sample. Apparently it was easy to get a very good sample from me. I was told that I will have the results in 3-5 days.

Starting Tagrisso
My doctor then ordered a
biopsy
which tested positive for EGFR mutation. I had a three week course of radiation and just started Tagrisso two days ago. All my joints are sore. Hopefully, this side effect will ease.

CLL in treatment and possible long Covid and managing isolation
My 74 year old husband has CLL and is on treatment consisting of Obinutuzumab infusions (just completed) and Venetoclax. He got Covid for the second time in January 2023, took Paxlovid, and it resolved without too much complication. He then had the "Paxlovid rebound." He recovered from that pretty well

Because I have never had a successful
biopsy
for previous tumours/lesions, and they do not think they can get one because of close proximity to blood vessel on this one...there is no tissue to test.

Constant Worry - It's Me Again
She says the
biopsy
showed fibrosis but not enough to warrant a diagnosis of overt PMF. She says pre-PMF could still be a possible diagnosis but ET is favored. Her treatment recommendations at this point are the same regardless of diagnosis. Now I am worried.

Who else has Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) in addition to their PCa?
Described as bone marrow cancers and a bone marrow
biopsy
is required for dx. It morphs into Acute Myloid Leukemia in 30-40% of the cases. Know that my shit is weak and am searching for info just like I did when I joined here after my PCa dx.

Possible Hemochromatosis?
Been under investigation but Hepatologist due to constant high GGT and ferritin.. but they can't find anything wrong apart from mild siderosis and fatty liver disease from a liver
biopsy
in 2019. Should I ask them if they would do a full iron panel?

why? Is this normal?
Open surgery. 12 weeks later a nurse said your
biopsy
has just come back, you don’t have cancer but we want to do chemo on you to mop up any floating cancer cells that may or may not be there. A bile stent would not come out.

A hellish 2 months. Very confused about MRD measurements.
At my next oncology appointment the results of my bone marrow
biopsy
and CT guided
biopsy
of the masses in my abdomen had both come back without any evidence of non-Hodgkins lymphoma or RT.
