NK cell results, help!?
Hey you lovely lot, I have the results of my uterine NK cell
biopsy
(they also tested for couple other things but don’t have results of those yet) and have the consultation next week, but classic me being impatient I wonder if any of you lot could help unpick what the results mean!

Any suggestions prior to starting V&O?
CT Scan & Bone Marrow
Biopsy
completed. I’ve been prescribed acyclovir and allopurinol for a couple of weeks prior, and then Prednisone the night before and day of the first Gazyva infusion.

PSA rising (but relatively low). Is PSMA scan advised at this point? Or is it too early to be helpful?
(Btw, no Gleason or staging as he was diagnosed from
biopsy
of lymph node in his neck. Also found mets in bones.) Sorry this is so long. Thanks for listening. Advance appreciation for your insights.

5 day update - gutted
Today, day 5, they were going to
biopsy
for PGS-A, but the embryologist feels they are too small & want to see how they are tomorrow (day 6). I just don’t know what to think. If they aren’t strong by day 5 will they past testing?

Never biopsied for IgA Nephropathy
But my kidney function was so far gone (GFR 15) that they didn't bother to
biopsy
it because it wasn't going to change the fact that I needed a kidney. I was fortunate to receive a living donor kidney, and have been fine ever since.

Thyroid cancer molecular testing
I have an intermediate thyroid nodule which means 25% of chance of cancer after a core
biopsy
in the hospital. But this is really a very annoying figure, checked online seems the molecular testing could be more accurate, but not in NHS routine. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Insomnia possible due to Tamsulosin
However, I am now having issues with my prostate, my PSA levels are mildly elevated at about 9 (I'm 52) and I'm waiting on a MRI and
biopsy
. In the meantime my GP prescribed Tamsulosin, my insomnia is now worse than it ever was. I was wondering if there is any link?

Focal Ablation doesn't work (again)
Aker et al. reported (below) that on
biopsy
18 months post-treatment, 35% still had clinically significant prostate cancer (only 46% had no prostate cancer), and that neither MRI nor PSA were good indicators of treatment failure.

Newly assessed NAFLD
About Feb last year started having abdominal pain under right ribs. It gradually increased and lasted for about 4 months, and then subsided over less than a month. About 6 weeks after onset, got a GP consultation, and started tests: H Pylori breath test - negative Sigmoidoscopy + biopsies - negative

Targeted+systematic biopsy is the best
Targeted+systematic
biopsy
seems to be the best. https://directorsblog.nih.gov/tag/prostate-
biopsy
/ Maybe this should be a requirement to go on AS.

Wait time for surgical lung biopsy results
So I was referred for a surgical
biopsy
so we could perhaps get some answers. I had a VATS wedge resection and lung
biopsy
done just over 4 weeks ago. The surgery went fine and they removed two of the nodules for testing. I’m all recovered now and back at work.

what happens next
Morning everyone, I just wondered what the next stage is, what to expect going forward, will I get a letter through the post saying I have cirrohsis ( if so I will not open it, I can’t bear to see it written in black and white) will I have to have a
biopsy
( which I really don’t want) or will the high

Testing embryos? Any ideas
So I’ve had my results from the implantation clinic/uterine
biopsy
where results came back normal, which is good but also opens up ‘a can of worms’ as to what’s actually going wrong as we thought it was implantation.

A special thank you.
I had an ultrasound that showed I was F3 which requires a
biopsy
to see if there was cirrhosis so that I would be eligible for a trial. My blood work wasn’t bad maybe elevated a couple points.
