Just want to ask if anyone heard or used thyroid cancer molecular testing. I have an intermediate thyroid nodule which means 25% of chance of cancer after a core biopsy in the hospital. But this is really a very annoying figure, checked online seems the molecular testing could be more accurate, but not in NHS routine. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

I haven't heard of the other test, I had a 4cm nodule and they did the biopsy and mine came back inconclusive even though they had some really good samples, the specialist took my right side of the thyroid to start with as the nodule was only on the right and my specialist didn't want to remove the whole thyroid incase the nodule was benign. My specialist was brilliant and wanted to make sure that we weren't removing what we didn't need to as your body can still operate with half a thyroid. I did get the unfortunate news that my nodule was cancerous after it had been removed which meant I had to complete the total thyroidectomy.
