I’m sure I’ve now got GCA
I was suspected of having GCA 16 months ago when I was diagnosed with PMR ,but the
biopsy
I had after being on 100 mg of pred for two weeks proved negative.

? Cover required for endometrial biopsy
I have a hysteroscopy and endometrial
biopsy
planned tomorrow and although this is only a minor procedure with no general anaesthetic or sedation, I’m just wondering whether I will need any extra steroid cover? Does anyone have any knowledge of these sort of procedures?

Recent diagnosis questions & concerns, please respond to any that you can
Concern 4:
Biopsy
Gleason score understated/understaged/undergraded given that it seems this occurs in 20 to 30% with Gleason 6. One study showed a 35.5% upgrade of
biopsy
Gleason scores when analyzed after histology from prostatectomy. In the group of Gleason 6 or less, there was 55% upgrading.

I owe you an update
I had a
biopsy
in November and confirmed an aggressive stage 5, Gleason 9 in 6 of 12 cores prostate cancer. A series of scans did not detect involvement beyond the prostate. My PSA was 9 at that time. I began ADT with Orgovyx in February, 2024. My PSA was 0.9 by late April.

types of thyroid meds
When I had my
biopsy
, the nurse told me she has good news and bad news, the good news is my nodules are benign but she could not tell me the bad news since she’s not the doctor, so I have been waiting three weeks to see the doctor and he’s either going to tell me to go on medication or remove the thyroid

Introduction and asking for help interpreting latest scan results and thoughts on future treatment plan please.
My overall history: After slowly rising PSA scores to a relatively low peak of 6.1 at 59 years old,
biopsy
was completed in 12/2019. Had non-nerve sparing RALP with pelvic lymph nodes bilateral 02/2020.

Diagnostic Imaging Not Yet Enough for Biopsy-Free Radical Prostatectomy - MedPage Today, November 27, 2023
From the lead-in to the article: [i]
"While prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-PET may improve diagnostic accuracy in suspected prostate cancer, it may not be accurate enough to skip the
when considering radical prostatectomy."

What happens when CT scan and ultrasound can't verify if it's an ovarian mass or not?
Will they do some kind of
biopsy
or surgery? Are there any other options?

Referred to a wonderful Dermatologist who tried some cream which didn't work,so did a
biopsy
which gave tge diagnosis. She explained to me that Sarcoidosis is very rare, but I needed my eyes, neck, & chest scanned, I couldn't believe it!

ET JAK2+ - Could this be progressing and how do I obtain more information/support?
I am aware that I was diagnosed prior to the WHO change on the diagnostic criteria which would require a bone marrow
biopsy
for ET diagnosis. I don't want a
biopsy
but I know if I had one it could rule out progression to post-ET MF which is my concern that all the symptoms are pointing at.

I looked on my ‘MyChart’ and saw that the
biopsy
