Cochlear implants
Hi,, I’m beginning to sound like a broken record. I have a cochlear implant , debating whether it’s been worth all of the hassle of having it in as it’s been painful. Has anyone out there had great success with theirs ? Thanks Jenny 😊

Pneumococcal vaccine in short supply.
Today, Sharon has officially been diagnosed with moderate COPD, about which I have had strong suspicions about, for over a month. The GP has said she needs to have the Pneumococcal vaccine, of course, especially with working in a nursing home. Sharon then asks the receptionist to make an appointment

Almost back to normal
Today I managed 8.5K on my long run, most of the route was the same as that 10K so I tackled a few gremlins and really felt like I’m
back
to where I was pre
injury
for the first time.

I followed this plan 8 years ago, and did really well, but fell
back
into old ways following an
injury
. I posted last night that I was going to get
back
on the programme this morning, and got lots of messages of support which was really welcome!

A walk today, not a jog
I damaged my knee down to my leg and foot

in 2017 and the
injury
has reappeared but mainly in the foot so it's now painful to walk on it.

Exhausting
Hi all.. what to do. I have no trouble falling asleep but its keeping asleep. I wake around 4 times a night every night and I'm exhausted. My pain from fibro and arthritis wakes me as my body hates being still. I'm in agony when I'm woken up and try to move that I end up getting up and moving around

High rbc and exercise?
Hi just a quick question as I forgot to ask my heamo yesterday . My Rbc and heamocrit are still high and outside the normal margins and just on aspirin and 6 weekly blood tests at the minute as having further tests . I read somewhere that exercise increases rbc count . I want to exercise a little if

Adios Week 6, Bring on Week 7
I plan to complete the program, do some consolidation runs and then do a couple of shorter runs outside again, working my way
back
to where I used to be, hopefully minus the
injury
. Happy running everyone.

How to build back up from injury?
I’ve had to have 4 months off due to injuring my Achilles. Did a tentative 12 min slow run yesterday of just 1.5km. All seemed fine. No additional pain in Achilles just very slight twinges. What’s the best way forward? Small runs every day? Every other day? Less? Advice please! Don’t want to create another

CORONA VIRUS / COVID-19/SARS COV-2 And Some Potential Help
This seems like a good time to start a thread discussing the latest developments regarding SARS COV-2 / Corona Virus(CV-19). Given that it seems to move quickly to new areas that were previously unaffected, being as prepared as is reasonably possible seems to make sense, but is there really a good way

Injury not sure what week to start back at.
Hi I seemed to have an issue with my ankle. I'm on week 4 and currently am on day 5 of rest ☹ I used to run but everytime i keep trying i get an injury. The muscles around my ankle give a sharp pain going up my leg this time. Should I wait until its completely gone or go back to week 2. Any input would

MULTITUDINOUSLY MOTIVATED MESSAGE FOR THE MAGNIFICENT MONTH OF MAY
As with anyone coming
back
from
injury
, I will have to be cautious and keep my own counsel of making sure that progress is slow and steady, rebuilding my strength and stamina and resisting the urge to chase pbs, which will probably become a thing of the past.

Better run today
You’ve just built
back
up from illness. You don’t want an
injury
from being impatient”. So I stopped and walked home again. Really felt good this morning though. Legs weren’t so heavy , breathing was good. I think the extra day of rest helped and a couple of good sleeps.
