W8R1 - clicking ankle ?

I got to w8r1 yesterday...back to where I was before my injury 2 months ago...so I'm a bit nervous on the extra running time. I will err on the side of caution, and leave two days for recovery...and might even go on the treadmill for my next run (though I really do prefer outdoors).

What I am noticing is when I run, my right ankle clicks. It's like a metronome setting my pace πŸ˜‚ ...it doesn't hurt, it's not my injured ankle, and it isn't a new sound to me. My ankles started clicking on stairs when I was a teenager. My parents knew when I went to bed! Does anyone else have clicking joints??

That’s a strange one, maybe worth having it checked out πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I used to have the odd click on my knee but not always. Hasn't done it in a while though.

Happy clicking! πŸ˜€ πŸ‘

i’m 27 and I honestly feel like a marionette in a cocktail shaker. my right ankle clicks all the time, my left one joins when I run occasionally, and both my knees click quite often, I have a chronic click in my shoulders too when I move them and in some parts from what feels like my muscles - so adding a feeling of bubble wrap occasionally ;p

I used to get very worried but I’ve gotten kind of used to it. They are slightly more injury prone so I pay attention, but when they’re not hurting I choose to not focus too much on it :))

I saw this and realised I’ve not ever seen this type of past anywhere on here so I had to butt in and share my experiences, fellow clicker :))

Thanks!! Glad to hear I'm not alone....we could start a percussion band by running together πŸ˜†

Sometimes it can be air in your joints, bubbles in them burst and cause the clicking noise..

I’ve not heard this before! Is it dangerous or anything at all or just a benign phenomenon ?
