After Injury

I have been out of action for 3 weeks after a foot injury (non running related). The pain in the foot is just about gone so should be able to resume shortly. I have finished week 7 run 2 just before the injury.

Would it be wise to go back in to it straight at week 7 or step back a week

Maybe you need to go out and see if your foot is up to running yet, no time or distance, just a trial run.

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
