I last posted after completing a virtual 10K that I really struggled with because I foolishly completed it whilst injured (it’s hard to regret the shiny medal though!) I took a few weeks rest and started a Garmin coach 5K plan with Jeff Galloway. You can set a time goal with Garmin rather than it being a standard distance plan so my next goal is 5K in 30 mins. My fastest to date is not far off that, but given the injury it’s nice to have a structure that keeps impact low and builds up gradually. Today I managed 8.5K on my long run, most of the route was the same as that 10K so I tackled a few gremlins and really felt like I’m back to where I was pre injury for the first time. Even my Garmin running out of battery at 6K didn’t bring me down, today was one of those days I remember why I love running 😀

Great you're back running and feel you've progressed back to where you were. Just be careful and no more running with an injury. Good luck and well done 😊😊
