Ocaliva
I was diagnosed with stage 1 PBC in 2016. Initially responded to Urso but it did stop being effective. I had another liver biopsy this past November and currently at stage 2 PBC. I am now on Ocaliva. I did not want to take this drug prefer a safer drug that has been around longer. Anyone else on

Home Nebs 🫁 - they may help improve QoL in severe asthmatics, but are they safe?! Everything you need to know!
Hi everyone. Another infomercial for you all! Hopefully this will be relatively short (but you know me... they never are 😅), and it’ll definitely shorten my next post (add-ons from consultants)! So here we go... Home nebs are almost always frowned upon by consultants (and definitely disapproved of by

Members using b12 powder, vial, insulin needle?
i'd like to hear from members getting b12 powder, dissolving in saline, and drawing on that vial multiple times. i think the system also uses diabetic needles since the volume is much lower than 1cc. perniciousanemia.org and oxfordbiosciences are 2 sites that sell like this. this seems to me a simpler

Humidifiers....?
Hi all. After trying nebulised saline & deciding that’s probably not for me, i thought I’d look into a humidifier again for use at night. Just to add a little moisture to the air as the general humidity seems to have dropped dramatically. Does anyone use them or know of a good brand? Thanks everyone

Saline drops
Hi everyone, my baby is 1month old and I just noticed a little cold and noisy breathing mostly in the night. Has a little nasal congestion too. I called 111 and was advised to give him saline drops. I just wanted to confirm once more if its safe . Any feedback from mums who have used it would be great

Effects on FEV1 after use of inhaled saline
I’ve had a 5% drop in my FEV1 from 28% to 23%. I have fairly recently been using inhaled saline twice a day to help with clearance. I just had a quick “google”...(dangerous I know😱) but it appears the use of inhaled saline could have a derogatory effect on FEV1. Any thoughts? If so, any alternatives

Light periods
During my review for my failed cycle, I mentioned that I started spotting yesterday (the day after my OTD) but that’s it’s been very light, even lighter than my usual periods which last 1-2 days and are light (I only really have blood flow when I go to the toilet otherwise at most spotting on a liner

Experience of A&E
Just thought I'd share my experience this week of an unscheduled visit to A&E. About 6pm all of a sudden my heart started to do strange things. After about an hour and a half it wasn't settling so I thought a call to 111 was needed. I ended up in A&E. The paramedics took me through the "green side

Almost 3month baby with ongoing blocked nose
Hi All Just wanted to get some advice here as my gp is not helpful with these at all. It's been now a month for my LO with blocked nose. She can breath through the nose however at night and in the morning you can hear her struggling. I used saline nasal spray for her and I try to get rid of some of it

Performance enhancing drugs.
Just watched that Netflix documentary, Icarus, about doping in sports. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6333060/ Well worth a watch, and it got me to thinking. Was several years back that I posted about performance enhancing drugs used (illegally) in sports, and how they could benefit us. First

Fostair & antihistamines
Started Fostair 100/6 (two times, twice a day) a few weeks ago & having some sinus trouble. Really bad post nasal drip causing me to cough and my chest to feel rough. Is it OK to take Loratadine along with Fostair? Tried saline nose spray / lots of water etc.
