Sonohysterogram? Anyone had this?
I’m surprised a search just turned up no results for this procedure. Maybe there’s another name for it? It’s where they fill the uterus with saline before performing an ultrasound. My doctor claims it’s not painful, that you might just get some cramping, but I’d like to hear from women who have actually

Order of treatments?
Bit of a basic question but when it comes to inhaled treatments, I know the order is supposed to be: bronchodilator mucoactive treatments chest clearance steroids etc. I’ve been on the same regimen for a while but I’m a bit confused because my steroid inhaler is a combination inhaler so it’s a steroid

Colomycin query
Hello all, I'm new to Colomycin and wondered if you had any tips on how best to mix it with the saline solution to minimise the amount of time you have to swirl it so it all dissolves. I've tried a number of ways and there's always a residue left which takes 2-3 minutes to dissolve. Taking the Colomycin

Saline .
I am taking medication for an under active thyroid. Recently due to the hot weather, I drank at lot of water, which resulted of my being hospitalized needing a saline infusion. Thought I would be fine. But after 4 weeks I still feel unwell. Difficult to get a doctors appointment . Don't know what

Where to buy syringes/b12? self injection
i'm trying to eliminate a b12 deficiency from "my list". the fastest and probably cheapest way to do this is by self injecting. bypassing the clueless doctors, bad tests, and expense of office visits for injections. i found this site online https://perniciousanemia.org/ for about $4/day (they send powdered

How long between nebulisers?
Evening everyone. I’ve just used my salbutamol nebuliser for the first time. I also now have saline solution to use in the nebuliser. Does anyone know if there a minimum time to wait in between using salbutamol and saline solution?

Nebulised saline?....🤔🤞
Hi, just wondered what your thoughts are on nebulised saline to help with expelling mucus? I have a nebuliser for exacerbations but haven’t used it yet...bit nervous to try if I’m honest! I should do a practice run to test it! I try to drink copious amounts of water to keep my lungs hydrated & the mucus

Pride comes before a hospital stay
I've had lung disease for over 6 years. Bronchiectasis and bronchiolitis obliterans. My FEV1 = 30% , my resting oxygen 95 and my normal flow meter 240. I was proud of the fact that by being fanatical about taking my medication properly, as prescribed, eating mostly good food, doing easy exercises and

Feeling Discouraged
Well, I have always been one of the first to brag about Ocaliva. Not so sure now. Alk Phos has gone up a little my last two labs. It is 161. Fibroscan one year ago was 9. Now 12. Hard to believe it increased that much in one year when all was going good. Hep wants a biopsy so he can confirm fibroscan

Is there an alternative to Ursosan
I have been taking Ursosan for years now for PBC and am noticing, hair loss. Have heard of another drug caller,(I think) Ocaliva which doesn't have this side affect. Has anyone else tried it?

In hospital for treatment of psudamonas
I just wanted to share my experience. I queried a couple of weeks ago about treatment for psudamonas in hospital, and had some helpful advice. I'm now nearly 5 days in. It was scary at first being admitted with covid around. But I've been so well looked after and shielded still. I have my own room even

Nasal Irrigation Procedure to avoid Coronavirus
(Reposting - the earlier post was deleted because of an untrusted link) Hello -- I just wanted to pass on information about a simple home procedure to avoid respiratory viral infections such as the coronavirus. Avoiding infections is especially important for people with immune-related kidney conditions

Excess mucous/cough
Wondering what others use to get rid of excess mucous, relieve the condition. Can be quite distressing at times as he can become breathless until the mucous is cleared . When he does manage to cough it up is thick grain of rice size. His voice is then mess horse and his breathing better. He does stream

About to start Venetoclax- what to expect.
In RMH Sutton in the UK as an inpatient. Comfortable and well looked after. Had a PET scan and now hooked up to saline drip for hydration. Venetoclax ramp up day one starts tomorrow. What can I expect. Will I feel different? Obviously TLS is the big worry but apart from that wondering if I'm going to

Skin scrapes
The effects of ageing, (I’m 73), and Pred mean that I have to be very careful not to scrape the skin - but that doesn’t always work. So I am a mini expert on what to do when the inevitable brush against a hard surface results in the skin folding back like tissue paper. If it’s very deep go to A&E. They

Powdered Methylcobalamin
I have seen ads for powdered Methylcobalamin twice this week. It claims one just adds saline to use. The advantage seems that it extends the expiration date. I inject very small amounts and end up having to trash expired B12 serum. Does anyone know about the efficacy of this powdered form? Thank you

My Bleed
Just over a week ago, on a Saturday evening I had a severe nosebleed. My neighbour came over, saw the state I was in and called an ambulance. Paramedics arrived and they couldn't stop it, so took me to A&E. When I saw a doctor there he asked how long it had been bleeding at that rate, "Two hours",
