Fostair & antihistamines

Started Fostair 100/6 (two times, twice a day) a few weeks ago & having some sinus trouble. Really bad post nasal drip causing me to cough and my chest to feel rough. Is it OK to take Loratadine along with Fostair? Tried saline nose spray / lots of water etc.

Hi, I have Fostair 200/6 and do from time to time take Loratadine as well with no adverse effect. If you are unsure your pharmacist could advise you and possibly make suggestions.

Thank you. I’m trying to avoid going out to the pharmacist at the moment but have some loratadine at home already. I’ll maybe call & ask them to make sure.

Sorry if I was unclear but I did mean that you could phone your pharmacist. I see, though, that several other forum members take loratadine with no problem so, like me, you will probably be ok.

I sometimes take Loratadine along with my fostair 100/6 and no problems though I don't take anti histamine on a regular basis. Check with your pharmacist maybe?

I have been taking Loratadine with Fostair from March to November for several years, after advice from consultant, with no problems at all.

I take Fostair 200/6, Montelukast and Braltus and the Asthma UK nurse I spoke to advised me to try taking Loratadine every day as my asthma is still not very well controlled.
