During my review for my failed cycle, I mentioned that I started spotting yesterday (the day after my OTD) but that’s it’s been very light, even lighter than my usual periods which last 1-2 days and are light (I only really have blood flow when I go to the toilet otherwise at most spotting on a liner).
I know I’ve brought up having light periods before, questioning whether this was a factor to consider in our unexplained infertility diagnosis and I’ve always been told as long as you have some form of period it won’t matter.
Fast forward to today’s review and the consultant thinks I need further investigation by way of a saline hysterosonography to check my uterine cavity for scar tissue (given the light periods). I should add that during my IVF cycle my lining had no issues (was 8.5mm on transfer).
Does anyone have any experience with something similar?

I had that issue two cycles ago, next one came normal. But if you plan to transfer is better to make sure the cavity is fine. If you aren’t in a rush wait for next period to see how it is.if lining was that good I don’t think there’s scar tissue. But better to make sure
Thanks Fay! The problem with me is that all my periods are very light all the time, not just this one after my failed round. I’ve always been told that was ok... but maybe it’s not. As you say, better to make sure the cavity is fine before transfer. All the best with your journey x
