Rheumy keeps saying everything is due to fibromyligia not my RA & I don't think I even have fibromyligia
She's also just prescribed
amitriptyline
to help with the pain at night and to help me sleep undisturbed. Should I see another rheumy? I have question the fibromyligia to her and she says that it's because ur body become sensitive to pain????

Sceptical GP wants me off Pred and on Amitriptyline
I don’t remember the names of all the 3 alternative drugs he suggested but one was
Amitriptyline
which I have found out can be used to treat nerve pain. It has its own set of unwelcome side effects of course. I’m not happy with the G.P’s approach which is verging on “suck it and see”.

Today's rheumy review
So he's put me back on
amitriptyline
to improve my sleep, given me the usual bumpf about CBT and graded exercise, and said, "let's see what comes out of your neurology referral". He hoped that "in a year or so" there might be an improvement in my functioning.

Amitriptyline - prescribed for Osteo/RA.
Hi - I am new here Apt this week at Addenbrookes resulted in the above - as a painkiller which would also help me to sleep (pain wakes me up). Leaflets says antidepressant. I am certainly not depressed although fed up with the pain but concerned about the drug group. Any feedback about this drug

Back on Amitriptyline
I do worry about sexual side effects as I had those from the SSRIs 😕 So I am back on
Amitriptyline
. I am wondering if trazadone may be a good option as I read it it good for insomnia and depression with anxiety. Does anyone have any experience with trazodone? It hurts depression.

Amitriptyline and trazadone
I had a lot of success with
amitriptyline
in the past but put on a bit of weight with it. It also helped so much with my sleep. I was wondering if anyone has tried trazadone as I have also read that is good for sleep. How have you found it for depression with anxiety? ANy info much appreciated.

Turmeric
Anyway today I saw my GP, who remarked that I seem to be moving a lot easier than previously, I told him what I was taking and he seemed pleased, now before we all shout hallelujah, I have also had to take 75mg of diclofenac and 10mg
amitriptyline
these 2 drugs will stop in about 2 weeks.
