Feeling fed up
I've tried many tablets including garbapentin, tramadol & cocodomol but the last 6months ive been on
Amitriptyline
which has really helped, however I seem to be suffering the last week or two with pain, and feeling very low and irritable, almost like I have severe PMT I have no motivation to do anything

Treatment
My gp told me she didn't know enough about it so I mentioned
amitriptyline
which I had been on before about 5 years ago. All it done then was make me sleep for over 17 hours and I was still drowsy after that but I thought maybe with age I would be able to use them now but I was wrong!

Research Study Help
Amitriptyline
may help IBS not because of its effect on mood, but because it can relieve pain and alter bowel activity. The aim of the research is to find out what happens when
Amitriptyline
is prescribed for IBS by GPs.

my gp is back
have tendonitis in my right knee, and needs physio to make home visit which of course may take a while so she showed me a couple of excersises to get me started. increasing
amitriptyline
for pain/depression. Reinforces my appreciation for a gp who cares and understands my problems.

Post Cystoscopy Excruciating pain and swelling.
I've taken an
amitriptyline
, paracetamol earlier today, a Solifenacin, 2 codeine and have permenantly had a hot water bottle as well as having had 3 baths. Nothing has taken even 1% of the pain away and since I've had terrible abdomen pain which is so sore.

Valerian Root?
Hi, I'm having a bit of a hard time with
amitriptyline
withdrawals which is mainly affecting my sleep or lack off so I'm exhausted. Google suggests valerian root is a helpful supplement for this so wondered if anyone has tried it? I'm taking 1 1/2 grains of NDT.

Newly diagnosed and feeling overwhelmed.
GP prescribed Sumatriptan which didnt help and
Amitriptyline
which helped a little. Back pain on going throughout, leg began to ease up after 6-8 weeks and physio. Returned to work 9th Nov, leg began to get heavy and buzzing again, by 5th Dec I woke unable to move toes or ankle.

Not been Diagnosed with Fibro
Dr put me on 10mg
Amitriptyline
saying start on 1 tablet but can increase to 2 which I did after 5 days, also took some blood. Went back to see Dr for results yesterday all came back clear, she has upped my dose to 25mg as the tablets have helped the pain but not helped me sleep.

Now what?
I'm allergic aspirin/ibuprofen type pain relief, which doesn't leave me many options, and when my lungs are struggling it's important to drop or at least reduce meds like codeine, oramorph and matrifen patches, and this leaves me with
amitriptyline
and duloxetine, which is pretty tough going generally

Just found out I'm pregnant!!
Luckily I had decided to wean myself off the
amitriptyline
6 weeks ago but now I will have to come off some of my many supplements too. My reason for posting is to ask if anyone has any tips or is in the same situation.
