Sick of pain
Sorry. I just need a little vent. I am feeling very fed up with myself, my body seems to be fighting against me. I'm struggling to get through a working day that woukd have been a breeze a year ago. I've had corn grow under my big toenails one of which became infected. Feels like stubbing my big toe

Medicine advice
Hi All I'm after a bit of advice. I've been managing my pain symptoms with amitriptyline and meptid, but when I have a flare up these don't seem to help at all. I'm right in the middle of a flare right now (it hurts everywhere š¢), and have made an appointment to see the GP next week. Just wondering

Should I see a private GI specialist? What are your experiences? (UK)
This is my first post on a forum so sorry that it's long!... I noticed symptoms around 2 years ago, they worsened around half a year ago and have got progressively worse over the months until now. I suffer with constipation (I go several times a day but only a small amount at a time), I never feel empty

Side effects worse than conditions!!
I hope you are having a pain free day. Im taking loads of drugs for my RA and FMS and I am always feeling rubbish. If it's not pain it's fatigue or a migraine or abdominal pain and IBS flares. I'm wondering if the drugs I'm taking are making me worse? I know we can all forget the level of pain once it's

Advice on painkillers please?
Iāve had a headache for about 7 weeks now. I insist 1 headache as it just not let up at all. My GP told me that I should stop taking Co-dydramol tablets as my pain medication as I could ābecome addicted and they are probably causing my headachesā. He gave me a script for Amitriptyline (1 tablet before

Slipped disc and sciatica
Hi Everyone, hope you can offer some advice :) I slipped a disc in my lower back in 2013 soon after having my daughter, which an MRI scan confirmed but the surgeon recommended swimming and Pilates first as there are a lot of risks with having the operation and for my age he didn't think it was worth

Fed up with headaches
Hi I've just joined, because I've woken up again with yet another migraine! I've been put on Sodium Valproate 200mg and told to come off Propranolol, which I've managed, but now have to wean myself off amitriptyline 50mg! Which scares me as I've taken it for about 20 yrs. I'm getting cluster headaches

Nothing But Pain
Has anyone out there had a tot removal, by tot I mean trans obturator tape/mesh removed and have been left with the anchors either side on sits bone. Despite having this tape removed back in sept 2013 and taking pregabalin and amitriptyline for the nerve damage that was caused after the prolapse repair

Hip & back pain
Hi everyone, in so much pain with my hips & lower back, it's not sciatica as it's not going down my legs. Sitting down & getting up is horrendous, even trying to sit on the toilet is a struggle. Had chronic back pain for a long time & can only take amitriptyline & paracetamol as too many side effects
