Amitriptaline 10mg side effects

Hey everyone, so I had a very very bad episode so bad I had an ambulance called I was violently shaking sweating and being sick. Turned out to be a bad anxiety attack. Paramedics said nothings wrong with me it looked like anxiety and I agreed after a while I calmed down and I stopped shaking as bad.

I was prescribed amitriptyline by doctors and I started taking it, however I've had bad side effects and thrown it away as it's made me so much worse I took at as of Monday till Wednesday, and I've had thee effects I want to know if it's normal:

Metallic taste loss of Taste

Balance issues

Dizzy

Very shaky

Tired

Anxiety/ uneasy

Legs shaky feels like I can't stand on them

It got so bad I got sent home from work violently shaking, ofcourse me being a worrier I thought it was something like MS my body just doesn't like it I guess wondering if these are normal side effects as it's made me worse. Reassurance is good I've got therapy all booked as inrather go down that route prior to when I had the paramedics over I had anxiety but no where near as bad as I'm getting it now. Can it do this? Doctor said it should wear off over the weekend but I feel so low and shaky it's horrid

Poor you !!. I've never taken medication myself. Maybe alot if it came from a subconscious fear, maybe you were afraid before you took them that they might do something. I'd get back in touch with your doctor if I were you and explain. Good luck.

Hi. Ive taken the medication previously. Doctors told me to take it bwfore you sleep because of the side effects. I was perfectly fine taking it apart from the tiredness it causes. Its best to give it 2 weeks so your body gets used to it. If it continues to make u feel ill, u should talk to the doctors to try to fhange the medication
