Epidural Hematoma
Hello there:) I'm new to this group and am hoping to get some advice. My husband suffered a TBI a little over a year ago while playing basketball in the driveway with our sons. He fell and hit his head on our driveway. He fractured his skull and suffered an epidural hematoma. The doctor performed

RELIEF FOUND
Hi everyone, This is my own case story. I amazingly found relief to my pain, but have fewer medical problems than many of the people on this site: I am 44 years of age, have always had excruciating periods since the age of 12 years (more painful than labor contractions), and have been through 2 c-sections

Tired Beyond Belief!
Today my GP prescribed amitriptyline as I haven't had a normal sleep for an unacceptable time now ( almost 2/3 months) He is convinced my Fibromyalgia is causing insomnia. I also have RA ( on Baracitinib) and had neck surgery this year ( compression of nerves) also on HRT. Don't know what's what with

Amitriptyline
I have intense itching/burning in my arms and have been prescribed Amitriptyline 10mg for pain relief for Brachioradial Pruritis. How long does it take before benefits are noticed?

Amitriptyline, how long it takes to work?
Amitriptyline for pelvic pain. How long it takes to work? The very first day I took it , got rid of my pain, 90% , but day two, and no pain relief whatsoever. I had a lap done and still in pain, Dr. said its purely neuropathic and prescribed it. Worried now

Continuing headaches
I am also 3 years post subdural haematoma surgery. I still get headaches though they are not as bad as they were in the first few months when I had very little support and very little sleep! At last someone suggested Amitriptyline which has helped with the headaches and meant I can sleep better. I took

Amitriptyline for carpal tunnel syndrome?
Hello, my GP has just diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome and prescribed amitriptyline 10mg. I did some research but didn’t find anything about this drug being used for CTS. I’ve only just started taking it, and I just feel so wiped out. Is that normal? Has anyone else heard of amitriptyline to treat

Never been so annoyed😡
Went to the doctors last week and they said they wouldn't give me any pain medication until I seen the rheumatologist (I was on naproxen, it didn't work so we stopped it) but they upped my amitriptyline so I could sleep, so Had my rheumatologist appointment last Thursday and got told that I do have fibromyalgia

I got it done 2 months ago and my migraines have decreased. I still get them but instead of 20 a month I am down to 10. I also suffered from 3 or 4 day migraines which doctors look at you in disbelief. I have been suffering from migraines for over 45 years, first as period migraines as a teenager then

I recovered well and was discharged on 12 September, returned to NZ (from UK) and was back to work (desk job) in November and also returned to weightlifting. What do you think of my Endo's comments!!
Hi All Well I saw the endocrinologist last week (privately - self funding) and he said my results are all fine. (Serum TSH 0.29 range 0.30-3.94, Serum Free T4 13.6 range 12.30-20.20, Serum Free T3 3.7 range 3.70-6.70). I asked him why my surgery had asked to see me following these results and he said

Update
So following my overdose I tried to leave intensive care, got about 3 miles away from the hospital when the police found me and dragged me back under a section 136. I spent 15 hours in the 136 suite before being placed on a section 2 and taken back to the psych ward. They took me off all my medications

Which medication worked best for you? Amitriptyline, pregabalin or gabapentin?
Consultant has written to GP to recommend prescribing one of the three medications above. Just interested to know which worked best for other people in terms of reducing pains and symptoms whilst having the least side effects? If you had a choice, what would you pick? Thanks in advance :)
