Low stomach acid
Hello all. As so many of us I have low stomach acid and want to do something about it. I would like to know what your experiences are with trying to solve the problem, e.g. Taking Betaine HCL or Apple Cider Vinegar. I am interested in effectiveness, which doses you used and which side effects you might

My "funny" hips and exercise...
Have just come back from my appointment at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore to find out the results of MRI scans on my hips and lower spine. My hips are both very unique! I was born with shortened limbs as a consequence of the drug Thalidomide. My femurs (thigh bones) are both shortened

HI All Just a little update, if anyone has seen my posts about my Rheumy they may remember he gave me no time and did not listen. Moving on I have seen my new Rheumy today and I was fully examined, listened to and not rushed. She agreed with the diagnosis of PRM/GCA but also thinks I have inflammatory

Afraid of side effects
just been given 20mg of Vimovo AND 10mg Amitriptyline while waiting for diagnosis from Rheumy. Assured its not for depression as don't have it but works on same nervous system. Blood pressure, heart rhythms etc are all mentioned in leaflet as contra indicator's. I would much rather suffer this extreme

Help with NDT / T3 dosing please, and ferritin!
Hi there, I'm 49, and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s around 2014/15. I took thyroxine 50mcg for about a year, which didn’t help much, then increased to 75mcg thyroxine plus 10 - 20 mcg T3 per day (seems I don’t convert too well) I was actually feeling pretty ok on this dose, though not quite my old self

Good Endocrinologist in West Yorkshire?
Hi I attended the pain clinic today and was pleasantly surprised that the dr agreed that I have underlying issues that need sorting (low Vit D, thyroid antibodies etc., TSH not under 1) that could be causing me to feel so crappy. I spent 4 hours in A&E last night following 2 hours of palpitations which

Hi everyone, hope your all having a positive day so far :-) I am waiting for my first laparoscopy (finally) but was unsure how long people have generally waited for a first laparoscopy on the NHS? Any ideas please? Unfortunately the pain in my pelvis is chronic now and I am unable to do most things

Can anyone tell me why when I accidentally dropped a tablet into something I was eating and resulted in me chewing it, my mouth, mostly my tongue and throat started burning? My throat started to feel like it was closing, and my tongue was on fire. I tried rinsing my mouth and ice cubes on my tongue,
