I got it on my list of things to be tried. I also have it in my drawer. But the idea of using an anti depressant and its possible side effects scares me quite a bit. So haven't tried it yet, wonder what the following responses will be.

It’s the drowsiness that bothers me if it lasts into the next morning but I’ll give it a go and see what happens.

You're gonna take it before sleep obvoiusly, as the doctor told me before prescribing it. I hope it'll work miracles. It's all our state of mind after all, what's underlying this disorder. Isn't it. Good luck.

Hello - I am taking it and haven’t noticed much of a difference yet. It definitely doesn’t make you feel weird or spaced out or anything. It also doesn’t make me noticeably drowsy - but I do sleep better with them. I am going to perservere with them to see if taking them for a long period of time helps the tummy. I have IBS-D and it hasn’t calmed that down yet. It isn’t as bad as some of the other anti-depressants out there in terms of addictive properties or side effects - but I think you need to take a lot of it (mg-wise) for it to be an anti-depressant. I have gone from 10mg to try 25mg (one tablet form) to see if that helps. Good luck x

Hi

I have been on it a while now my advice would be to start it when you have a quiet weekend so that it doesn't matter if your groggy the next day I bought a pill cutter and started on 5mg and gradually built it up also I take it at about 7pm as the effects are not likely to stop me getting to work or driving,i hope this helps.
