Trigeminal Neuralgia... Or not? š¤·š»āāļø
For about 6 years I've had a tingling, pins and needles sensation along the bridge of my nose & just above my eyebrows. I went to see my GP who referred me to a neurologist who carried out various tests, a scan on my head and all was normal.... With the results, my GP was at a loss š but put it down

Struggling with IBS D
Iāve been lurking on this forum for some time now and finally decided it was time to post. Iāve noticed that some people give background so will do this; I lost around 7 stone in weight (through calorie counting & exercise- only mentioning to rule out dumping syndrome from gastric band) 6/7 years ago

I felt an improvement after about 6 weeks but the longer I've been on it, the worse I feel. I have agonising pains from shoulder to elbow,

Reducing amitriptyline problems
Hi everyone. I've had ibs d for 30 years. About a year ago I started taking 5mg of amitriptyline to try and help my symptoms. I don't get stomach cramps just a short uncomfortable feeling after I've eaten, usually lunchtime, then I have urgent runny poo. This was happening three or four times a week

Amitriptyline
Fibromyalgia. What side affects are people experiencing taking Amitriptyline and is a particular brand more effective. Also does your pharmacy change brands? What affect does changing the brand have?

Ongoing pain
I have been feeling alright for a few months now (apart from a week or so every month). Over the last few weeks, I keep running into the wall! I am exhausted. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary, but I feel so tired and achy. A month ago, I had excruciating head pain and thought I was getting

Two questions about levo at night or in morning
Hi there, I currently take my levo first thing in the morning but sometimes find it a challenge to leave the gap required before supplements/coffee/breakfast. So firstly I was wondering how to transition to taking it at night when I go to bed, and also if it's ok to take at the same time as amitriptyline

Imbruvica-related issues: Qs + comments
The following are questions and comments I'll be asking my oncologist when I see him tomorrow. I believe at least some of them might be relevant to what some among us are experiencing and research some of us are engaging in. Clearly, none of the comments here are meant to be authoritative nor intended

Chronic lower back pain, amitriptyline and the zombie.
Hi Everyone, I hope that you like me are hanging on despite all the hassle Covid has caused. I've had chronic lower back pain for the last few months and not really been sure what's causing it, whether it is endo, zoladex or what really. I called my GP who prescribed 10mg of Amitriptyline taken at night

How common is depression in PD?
Just today this came to my mailbox: Background: Fatigue is the most common symptom of MS and has no effective pharmacotherapy. Since both are brain diseases, PD and MS have similar signs. I was first diagnosed with PD because an MRI showed white spots in the brain. Similar to the alpha

Weight gain
I was diagnosed with FM at beginning of lockdown and have been taking fluoxetine and amitriptyline since January. I have not been exercising as much and I have put on loads of weight! I'm not sure amitriptyline is working - still wake up in night and quality of sleep (according to fitbit) is no different
