What I wish I had asked my GP/asthma nurse (when first diagnosed 😉)
Hi everyone I’ve recently read an article about shared appts with GPs, and whilst it’s not something I would like personally, it does bring up an interesting point - very few people know what to ask when they’re first diagnosed (with asthma)! I know I never asked questions, mainly because at the time

Allergy testing
Hi all, I have just purchased my Food Intolerance kit. Has anyone else looked at this as a possible cause of their symptoms of Thyroidism

Allergic to Running, no, really !
For a while now, after some runs, within 5/10 minutes of returning home, I've suffered with violent sneezing fits, painful face/nose nose and hay fever like symptoms. I put it down to running through some sort of pollen which must be 'having a go'. However, it hasn't been after every run. I had previously

Asthma or not?
I was diagnosed with viral asthma on 10 September and I’m on the blue (since 10 September) and brown inhaler (since 14 September). I couldn’t get an asthma nurse’s appointment till a couple of days ago. She took a history, did a spirometry test (ok), watched my inhaler technique (good), told me my chest

How I gave myself a food addiction through dieting
Growing up, I never struggled with weight or food. I never thought about food. I simply ate the food that was put in front of me and ate as much of it as I could. The more calories the better. Stuffing myself during school lunches. I would eat a lot but I would burn a lot. However, I would never eat

Asthma later in life
Another season and while I once taught about asthma, I now have asthma too. It has started late in my life. It does give me more of an insight as to what I am teaching others about asthma. I had an allergy test and came out allergic to everything or to most triggers. I am glad that I know enough about

Blooming hayfever
Set the alarm for six ready for the big scary 20 mins run and ...an hour and a half later, still waiting for my hay fever to settle so I can breathe when I’m running. It’s going to be a hot day and that means that I won’t be able to run until the evening. Best laid plans and all that!x

Triggers in non-allergic asthma
So, I'm pretty sure I have non-allergic asthma given I can never muster enough IgE for Xolair and also kept getting negative allergy tests. Most of my triggers I would consider non-allergic - weather-related, smoke, scents and sprays, viruses etc - things which tend to act directly on the airway rather

Mepolizumab
Anybody on Mepolizumab who has been getting extremely tired to the point of exhaustion. I have had my 6th injection a week ago and have been so tired since Sunday to the point it interferes with my breathing , this has been getting worse with each injection. I do feel I’ve had some benefit through hay

Private allergy testing
Dear all, I’m new to this community so...hello :) I wonder if anyone can give me advice in relation to my skin problem potentially allergy. I do not have known allergies (at least, nothing serious). However, since I was a kid, I always had weird itchiness (mostly on my face) and it looks like a mosquito

Allergy Test - food sensitivity?
Hi all, My son is 7 y.o. who is diagnosed with ADHD last year. He is going to have an allergy test next week as he shows allergy symptoms sometimes such as sneezing all day, stuffed nose, etc. probably from dust or pollen. Although we're taking him for non-food allergy reactions, I'd like to know if

Eosinophils count
Hi all, since March I've had 3 full blood counts and each time my eosinophils are above range starting at 0.5 then 0.6 and now 0.7, I don't have asthma or allergies so does anyone know what this could mean and should I be worried?

Get rid of Food Visuals to Get rid of your excess Weight
One important step of losing weight is to delink - detach yourself from all Food Related visuals ( some call it food porn too). It has been proved that excessive talk about food or excessive exposure to food photographs, posters, magazines, sites, apps etc ultimately will lead you to seek that food
