Gluten intolerant?????
Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some valued information from you all. I'll try to keep this as short as I can. I have hashimotos and it am currently being treated with a t3/t4 combination. My levels for the 1st time in 2 years are "as they should be". But I still feel terrible. I have read that going

Is APS linked to other immune issues?
HI Has anyone else found that they have high readings for other immunoglobulins? I do believe this to be true - having one we are predisposed to others. E.g my Igg is high but also my Ige is very high (allergies). I wonder if these others are related to the NKCells? I have a feeling they do, like

I am going to an allergy clinic. What am I going to expect on the day?
I have suspected buckwheat allergy. I loved buckwheat noodles. However since I had a childbirth I had breathing difficulty and tummy problems when I eat buckwheat noodles. I had a few episodes of allergic reactions from buckwheat noodles over a few years so I avoided it since. It was easy to do in

Bowel problems caused by food?
Food intolerance is a vast subject but if you suspect food is causing your bowel problems but can't quite work out why - this may help. Delayed reactions and seemingly different reactions to the same foods are all pointers to food intolerance. There are natural chemicals as well as artificial ones

6k race should I or should I not???
A friend of mine has invited me to join her on a 6k ladies race on the 1st of May. I am on week 6 and have just done run 1 and feeling great apart from the allergies due to pollen. Do you think I will be ready for it and survive or should I wait??

IgE blood levels & spirometry
Had first consultant appointment last week and got bloods done. I have various allergies so wasn't surprised when she decided to get my IgE levels checked. Wanted to know what happens if it comes back high? I realise this confirms an allergy to something but do you then require allergy testing to get

Is anyone else having issues with hayfever?
Hi all :) I've noticed that I've started getting symptoms of hayfever again over the last week or so (it can't be that time again already can it?!) It started with me waking myself up coughing (and one of my flatmates who kindly told me to shut up). I hoped it was a cold but since then feeling like

Rawtastic or Rawful? Is raw food right for your body?
It is a commonly held belief in the “health world” that eating our food, live and raw is the best way to get all the vitamins, minerals and enzymes we need. The raw food movement is at the forefront of great nutritional discoveries and is leading the way in challenging the standard western diet. The

Bone protection
I have had a really rotten winter asthma wise with each cold or infection needing several weeks of pred to sort it out. This meant I spent most of Dec and Jan on pred (either 40mg or a quick reducing dose) with only a few days totally pred free between courses. I am currently 16 days into another course

Igg testing ---food allergies. Does anyone know about this. Is there different Igg antibodies? I searched but was unable to find that info.
I saw a Allergist yesterday. Unbelievable, the only dr. I found in the United States to try to help me. She listened to everything I had to say and she believed me. She had some answers, to why i felt so much pain after a blood transfusion, bad bug bite, etc... But guess what she trained in Europe &

Nooooo surely it's to early for hayfever
The last two days I have got up with a headache from hell, no I didn't have fun the night before. I think I have hayfever. I vaguely remember this from last year, but I am getting up and out the door a lot faster now. I use a nasal spray as soon as I get up but it takes a good hour to clear my head

Pred and skin prick testing
I'm having allergy testing repeated for various reasons, but one thing I'm confused about: does being on pred long-term-ish (about 4 months now, 15-40mg at variois times) affect the results of skin prick testing for allergies? I've looked it up and found conflicting answers. I've also rung the AUK nurses
