Mepolizumab

Anybody on Mepolizumab who has been getting extremely tired to the point of exhaustion. I have had my 6th injection a week ago and have been so tired since Sunday to the point it interferes with my breathing , this has been getting worse with each injection. I do feel I’ve had some benefit through hay fever season but not helped with food allergies and feel I get one good week out if 4, seriously thinking of stopping it

Hi ...I was in mepo...which had no effect at all to the point I ended back on life support in Feb....I commenced reslizumab and even though my eosinophil are dropping am absolutely shattered and increased joint pain...

Discuss with your consultant and let him.be the one to decide to stop as the next stage is all about funding.....

Hi, yes I have just had my 3rd mepo injection and have experienced shattering tiredness for about 4 days after each jab. No major improvements in asthma symptoms yet apart from waking up a bit less often at night struggling due to phlegm and chest tightness.

Prior to this I took xoliar, which made things worse for me so I stopped after 4 injections.

Best to mention how you feel to your team and discuss how best to take things forward.

Thank you I too had xolair but was stopped after 5 due to side affects although I was doing quite well. I have just literally had 5 days of complete drowsiness and brain fog, I have mentioned this every time I go , with each one the fatigue lasts longer my life pretty much on hold for them days , felt so ill thus week I almost called an ambulance. I have it in my mind to stick with it til December when I see consultant but I don’t think I can. I’ve also been showing low cortisol levels and do wonder if this is playing a part
