Dr Costantini advised me to take Thiamine with empty stomach.

According to Dr. Costantini, it can be taken with or without food. Previously it was thought that it needed to be taken before food. This question is answered on the thiamine FAQ page as question # 12.

KERRINGTON,

Based on Dr. Costantini's answer :

12. Is it better to take thiamine on an empty stomach or with food?

A: Some of our patients reported to us that they have better effects if taken on an empty stomach, however as far as we are concerned, thiamine is effective also after a meal.

It would appear that you can, but he does qualify that with the idea that some people feel they get better effect on an empty stomach, so you can try it both ways and see what works best for you.

Thanks, just stumbled on your recent response to attyl...I'll try it with food for a while...will make planning a lot easier : )

Best to take L-theanine on an empty stomach for its full effect. You can try taking it with

food but if you notice that it is not working, then you would want to take on an empty stomach.

dose: breakfast and again at lunch time.

Breakfast first dose, it takes four hours for levels to drop. Taking second dose at lunch keeps thiamin hcl level in blood high.
