Recent labs.... with a surprise! (not a good one) ☹️
Hello PBC family, Not a whole lot to report with my labs. Alk-phos still fluctuates between 140's and 170's. Interestingly, the less I weigh, the better the Alk-phos number. I'm in an RA flare right now and I've been on steroids. Needless to say I'm gaining weight!! My Alk-phos did come down from

Positive and speckled ANA
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone here has a positive ANA or speckled ANA? I had to go to another rhmy in December, my gyno wanted to see if I could have an op and it would be safe, so I had a full assessment with a new Dr. Funnily enough he did a full examination, really thorough. My Beighton score

Hi All, My recent round of labs showed some elevations, specifically: ALT, Alk Phos, BUN/Creatinine, CRP, blood in urine with slightly low specific gravity. This week I had a biopsy of my nasal passage (due to inflammation and discharge); am being referred to nephrologist; and scheduled for abdominal

I've just had another range of blood tests and now have the results. I'd appreciate some help with understanding them.
I've not been well for over three years, but over the last six months I've been feeling worse and worse. It's mostly the same symptoms but getting more severe and more frequent. I've had several water infections - my gp thinks it's inflammation of the stomach wall flaring up. Each time is more painful

When can I stop the B12 and Vitamin D
I have had low vitamin B12 for a year once a week for the first month and now montlhy I've been on the injections for over a year and it has gone up from 163 to 359. Am I able to stop taking them? I also am on vitamin D for 2 years and this now normal range. Am I able to stop taking that too? Is it possible

I’ve recently been referred to a specialist clinic due to my high antibodies & prescribed Hydroxychloroquine, I’m not sure what these are for as I was just left a prescription to pick up, in the meantime waiting for an appointment, not sure how long I will be waiting as it’s been over a month now. Another night of insomnia, sigh
It seems it's another night of insomnia. The good news: No dreadful racing thoughts, OCD, or paranoia. Tonight, it's kinda apathy, like "great this again"--and on a work night, because, of course. I just don't feel tired, which is probably better than crippling anxiety? So, progress? *shrugs* Context

St John's Wort Withdrawals
Hi guys, I've been on SJW for about 3-4 months, and it's been great (even with only 1 dose of a super generic brand from the super market). But I've grown uncomfortable with taking it, so I decided to stop. Other note, I've returned to work after nearly a two-year confusing period of my life. It's

Negative test results but very positive
Hi! I'm new here. First post. I was told to reach out to you the NRAS Community for help. Here goes-I've seen two or three Rheumatologist, two Orthopedist, and my Nurse Practioner for help. No one can or will help me as long as I continue to produce negative labs. My right hand chronically hurts

ANA keeps changing
New to this but here goes. Short version - 2009 I had a positive ANA and high dsdna. Was seen by rheumatologist who retested and said they were normal. I remained ill and was retested in 2011 -again positive ANA and high dsdna. But they decided I was ok as and just 'keeping an eye on me'. In 2012

High GGT & Neuotrophil & ALT & Alk Phos
Hi my name is Tiffany. I’m 35. Fairly healthy until this past year. I had my gallbladder removed. My symptoms are always bloated, not ever really hungry, weak, tired, face is red, veiny and blotchy but never has been before. I had blood work done thinking because of a hysterectomy that maybe it was hormones

Alk Phos and bone mets?
Is it possible to continue to develop but me mets while maintaining stable low end alk phos levels? My MO seems 100% certain I cannot have new bone mets because the alk phos level is stable and low 60’s to 70’s. However, the fact remains that many scans showed no lesions and now all of them do. Appreciate
