Research paper about T3/T4combination treatment. What happened there?
I became aware of this through "Endocrinology Advisor": https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38124252/ The link to the paper was not given. I found it myself. "Conclusions: Six months of combination therapy with twice-daily LT3 dose adapted according to TSH-level do not significantly change peripheral tissue

Reason for constipation
Is there much research or understanding about why children and toddlers are getting constipated so much? It seems so many are being treated for constipation but I haven't seen any discussions on why this constipation is happening to try and avoid it. I understand low fibre and reduced fluid intake can

Has anyone any advice on walking whilst recovering with Post Concussion Syndrome, who managed to recover..is it best to start with two or three shorter walks a day that do not fatigue you, or just do one walk a day?

Flare or Adrenal Crisis
During the Christmas period I had a series of very stressful situations , including transatlantic travel. Upon returning I experienced extreme burning pain in my neck, arms, shoulders and groin. I could barely get out of bed. It was the same pain I experienced when I was first diagnosed with PMR 2 1

Just when you think you can manage with the pain, fatigue, dizzy spells and cramps, Fibro throws you a curve ball. Welcome to 2024, your new years gift is incontinence. I can be happily sitting at my desk typing when, oops! Or walking to the car and oops! Best one, sleeping in bed with my partner and

Runny eyes after virtual colonoscopy
I had a virtual CT scan on 2nd January. I was given intravenous buscopan and imaging fluid. Yesterday my eyes were watery and very slightly sore (they still are today). I was given an information sheet about going to A&E if I developed very red eyes and sight disturbance. My symptoms don’t match but

Worried about withdrawing from DHC Continus
Due to a spinal injury some 20+ yrs ago, I was put on Dihydrocodeine Continus, 60mg tabs 3 times a day. GP has just been reissuing the prescription for the last 20 odd yrs without really discussing these meds with me, or about changing for another drug. Now after 20yrs they just suddenly stop the prescription

Tremor at the dentist
I have an embarrassing problem. My anxiety arcs up at the dentist and I cant stop the tremor in my left arm. Is there anything I could take before I go to ward off the tremor?

Really struggling with the fear that I'm going to have another fall while running
I had a nasty fall in May last year when I tripped on a gravel path while running. I messed my face up in a big way and damaged my shoulder. I've back running since the autumn and I'm pretty OK when I'm on the grass but when I'm running on a hard surface I get very nervous. It's been one of my ambitions

Horizant tapering
Dear All: Apologies- I might be unintentionally reposting this: I have been on Horizant for about seven months, at 600mg in the morning and 600mg in the evening (1,200 mg total). Before that, I was on 600mg Gabapentin daily for two years. Recently, my doctor and I have agreed to reduce my Horizant

spinal haematoma
hi there lovely people , was just wondering has anyone had bleeding on the spinal cord ? I am paralysed at the moment as I had a sharp pain in my back & everything then went numb from my chest down . I am wondered if this is caused by the lupus . They are saying if the clot reduces then I may get some

Hi All, I have Myelofibrosis and have been taking Jakavi for about 3 years, and it has been pretty successful in suppressing my symptoms. Unfortunately my symptoms are slowly returning, my spleen has enlarged to 215mm and a bone marrow biopsy has shown that the fibrosis is now pretty advanced. I
