IBS, SIBO bad breath

Hi everyone, I have a quick question, since GIs here can't help me, I have come here to ask for a piece of advice from you. My IBS symptoms come and go, I am constantly on pro/prebiotics, and my GI keeps on changing the supplements, but my symptoms flare up whenever I have a stress( I started to notice the connection between the high stress levels and my symptoms). This month I had 2 episodes, and my GI prescribed Normix as a gut antibiotic to reduce the bad bacteria, after taking it for about 10 days I had another episode. To tell the truth, I would rather have pain than gas and such bad breath. I am ashamed of myself since I smell bad when these bacteria overgrow. Please help me and advise me on a good doctor who can consult me online, I have thrown in the towel and don't expect to find anyone in my country anymore. Before advising me someone could you tell me what else you took to make these bacteria go?

i'm sorry youre having such a bad time! I can't recommend a doctor, sorry, but my experience with probiotics: after I'd had two sets of antibiotics for an infection, I developed terrible BO. My doctors were no help, they kept telling me they couldnt tell, and maybe try stronger deodorant- but it was all-body BO , not sweat, and it was horrible. After much research, I eventually worked out it was bad gut flora. I started taking probiotics and it really helped, I got back to normal smell-wise. However, they seemed to be very strong - my bowel movements increased and not in a good way. I kept taking them every day as recommended and developed the most awful bad breath. I stopped the probiotics and my breath went back to normal. Now I try a balancing act - take a probiotic occasionally (and get a strong reaction in my bowel, but improved gut bacteria - I know they only stay in the gut for 24 hours, but I'm trying to encourage my gut to get a bit healthier) and avoid antibiotics if possible.
