Hysterectomy looming.....
Hello, I joined a while ago but have been lurking reading as much as I can. A bit about me. I've never really suffered with any obvious symptoms telling me something was wrong. Periods got heavier and they began to hurt more and more but I put that down to age. I was 39 at the time. I went away in December

Pre hysterectomy nerves
I am due for a total
abdominal
hysterectomy
on 21st Jan.I have been being seen by a consultant for chronic sciatica which was presumed to be from a herniated disc (I do have a problem disc). I had a spinal injection in October which had no effect whatsoever.

No obvious endo on ultra sound
I had a internal ultra sound yesterday and was told that there wasn’t anything obvious but I have all the symptoms and it runs in generations of my family (Nan, Aunties, mum. All had early hysterectomies and one sadly passed with ovarian cancer). Have any of you had nothing show on the ultra sound but

Been given Zoladex for next 4months. Now referring me to a endo specialist. What are the next steps? Will I need

Too Fat Diagnosis, losing weight will fix everything (apparently).
So, having been hospitalised a few times due to horrendous sharp pain and abdominal pain similar to having a burst appendix, having had bloods done and a specific scan of my whole mid section, my doctor referred me to a general surgeon as his only conclusion was adhesions from having an extreme hysterectomy

Good morning everyone, I have a had endo since 2000 but I would say even before that. Recently I took myself to A&E with what I and hospital thought was a hernia, but after a CT Scan result showed a 2-3 cm cyst on my lower left side that has formed inside my c section scar you can actually feel it when

Sorry if this is longwinded. Have been hypothyroid over 35 years and functioned pretty well until after hysterectomy in 1989. (I think this in retrospect). Started being not well with back pain/head and l had to leave work in 1994. Put it all down to wear and tear. All this time on levothyroxine. Never

Menopause or no Menopause?
I had a full hysterectomy about 10 years ago (aged 47) went on HRT and have had no problems. What happens re the menopause, have I missed it completely,? only I do feel that I may be having some of the symptoms.( tired, achy, dry skin, itchy scalp, weight gain etc.,) When do I stop taking HRT altogether

Has hysterectomy helped anyone??
Hi, A subtotal hysterectomy (leaving one ovary behind) has been recommended - I've already had a bi-lateral salpinectomy in 2018 - as I am experiencing very low pelvic pain most mornings and also painful intercourse which can often be accompanied by bleeding. I'm 41 years old - relatively fit and healthy

Has anyone tried reflexology for their Hashimoto’s?
Just a bit about my history first. I had a hysterectomy when I was 39 and recovered quickly, but within a couple of weeks an avalanche of symptoms arrived. My oestrogen reading was 0 so the docors told me I needed this HRT or maybe that one or testosterone, no, definitely not progesterone or maybe it

Surgery with an auto immune disorder
Good morning all Some issues have come to light in my family recently which mean I may be eligible for a BRCA ( it’s the gene mutation which increases the risk of breast cancer amongst others) test. It seems to me that the worst possible outcome would be to agree to the test, be tested positive but then
