Bowel adhesions - recovery time?
Hi all, I had a hysterectomy in August 2018. I had endometriosis and adenomyosis. I kept one ovary. I’ve since had a ‘blood filled cyst’ (endometrioma?) which has been causing me some pain, bloating and I’ve generally been feeling systemically unwell. I had a follow up operation ten days ago where

Op coming up for hysterectomy and bowel
I have stage 4 endometriosis. It’s on my bowel and rectum. So I have been to see a number of specialists and because it is so severe and it does keep coming back they want to take everything away. I am having a full hysterectomy including ovary removal. Part of my rectum is being removed and bowel surgery

Could this be linked to hormone imbalance following hysterectomy with BSO? (9.5 months post surgery)
I am 9.5 months post hysterectomy with BSO. I'm not well. It started about 6 months post surgery. I am thinking I'm going through a hormone imbalance but family physician, cardiologist and neurologist don't believe my symptoms are linked to my hormones. The gynecologist doesn't recommend any hormone

FINALLY-LIFE BACK!
After 10 years of debilitating, excruciating, bed ridden pain in the groin, LLQ, 36 doctors, 15 procedures, *award for longest medication list of narcotics, 3 types of PT (one being internal for 2 years!) and 2 years of injections, my daughter sent me a video based on PUDENDAL NEURALGIA/NEUROPATHY signs

Advice on a prophylactic hysterectomy
I have adenocarcinoma of serous papillary - epithelial and am 75 years old and Stage 3c. Even though I am negative BRCA 1 and 2, my oncologist said our two daughters are high risk for getting OV cancer. Should they get hysterectomies prophylactically (if their doctors recommend it)? Their ages are

Post hysterectomy
Hi I had my hysterectomy on Thursday last week... I was discharged on sunday. However since returning home anything I am eating is causing me to run to the toilet for a painful bowel movement. Is this normal?

New here. Having a holter monitor and ECG on the 22nd November.
Would love to know what others here thing. I had a hysterectomy last year and retained my ovaries so I didn't plummet into menopause. During my hospital stay, the nurse told me that I have an irregular pulse. I had an ECG 2 weeks prior to my surgery and I kind of knew that I had an irregular pulse anyway

Will I bleed post lap
I have had a hysterectomy 2 years ago.. ovaries still in but now on list for another lap. Will I bleed after the lap as I don’t obviously have periods anymore? Just thinking ahead on what to pack as on short notice list?? Also worried about bellybutton as it keeps getting sore from previous laps.

34 week update. Placenta accrete
After going through the strain of IVF, fibroid surgery, I have now developed placenta accrete 😥 I will be put to sleep under general anaesthetic, arterial balloons in my groin to help bleeding, hysterectomy and first night spent in intensive care away from the baby. I just feel devastated, frightened

Hysterectomy seems inevitable
My consultant diagnosed me with endometriosis adenomyosis and ashermans syndrome. He wants me to have the zoladex Implant for 6 months then hysterectomy planned afterwards. Feeling defeated and it’s quite major surgery at 32. Don’t know what I’m asking just maybe reassurance.

2 Tapers or NOT 2 Tapers......
Hi again everyone - hope you can help. Forgot to mention yesterday whilst visiting my GP she informed me of the latest findings re taking HRT - the risk factors have increased. I had a total hysterectomy 20 years ago and take 1mg of Oestrogen daily since which I am happy to do. However she has now advised

Further treatment
Hi ladies I had a total hysterectomy and appendix removal surgery on the 31st October, after my right ovary was previously removed in August for mucinous borderline stage 1a. I was wondering if I still needed monitoring, bloods or any checkups. Or is that is now? Has a anyone similar who could please
