Do I have to have a hysterectomy?
I have quite severe endo with adhesions and pcos. I’m 41 and I guess I’ve finished my family. I’ve been advised to have a hysterectomy but I really don’t want to. I understand it increases risk of heart disease which runs in my family. I’d like to go through menopause naturally as I’m a very active full

HRT that doesn’t make Endo worse ?
Hi i had a full hysterectomy about two yrs ago, went onto Tibilone HRT, the pain got progressively worse, so my gp said stop taking the HRT for a while to see if pain reduces. I have been off HRT for a month, and only had 3 days of pain, which is great! However the menopause symptoms are bad and I am

Adenomyosis help? (Endometriosis of the womb)
Hi everyone 👋🏻 I’ve struggled with server endometriosis from the age of 14 (now 28) and I’ve had many laparoscopies which have helped over the years. I recently had another one but my doctor has told me that the endometriosis has now gone inside my uterus wall and has become server adenomyosis. Unfortunately

12 years tomorrow
I know some of you are really struggling with this cancer, & we have lost too many ladies to it, but I hope my milestone might encourage someone a little. Tomorrow it will be 12 years since my initial surgery - total hysterectomy, bso, & omentectomy, & diagnosis of ovarian cancer.

Day 1 today
I've been overweight all my life - not massively but overweight nevertheless. At 5ft 2 I was a standard size 14 weighing 10 stone and was happy with that - Since the Menopause and a hysterectomy I have gained 7 stone! I look like a spacehopper! So today I start in earnest.....aged 57 and very very unhappy

Feeling hopeless
My Gynae has said there’s nothing more she can do for me and has told me to go private as they want me to see the best specialist in the country. Which is obviously going to be expensive. I really wanted a hysterectomy and I know it might not help but I’m down to my last option. I got told it wasn’t

Hysterectomy
Hi. I tried to find info regarding this and could not, when I found out about my lymphocytosis was during a female exam where we were discussing having a hysterectomy. I didn’t know if anyone with CLL has had a hysterectomy with CLL. I have 3 fibroids, heavy menses, endometriosis so for quality of

I'm new here... My partner was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer aged 30-31 / I'm trying to find a support network for Men?
Hi All, I've found nothing but posts from headstrong women sharing their own experiences and perspectives still rarely if not any posts from the partner's perspective/experience? This is not just for men but also for those who have relied heavily on the support of their partner's and how they dealt

Unicornuate Uterus and Endometriosis
Hello everyone, I'm a 52 year old mum to a 24 year old daughter who suffers terribly with endometriosis. She was also born with a unicornuate uterus with a rudimentary horn. She's tried all sorts of treatments over the past 3 years without much success, she's now looking at a hysterectomy. Her endometriosis

Reoccurrence of Rectovaginal endo
I’ve had an MRI recently which shows my Rectovaginal endo has reoccurred after hysterectomy and bilateral ovary removal. My gynaecologist think the risks of further surgery may outweigh the benefits. She has treated me for years in a BSGE specialist centre and I trust her implicitly. My question is whether
