BP Meds causing bladder problems?
Hello. Recently I have had my blood pressure readings increased, not certain why, but maybe due to medications. I was taking candesartan 16mgs for a couple of years, then the doctor added plendil. I had a really bad episode where I had to be taken to A & E with BP 250/115 where the room was spinning

Adhesions/Endo pain returns ten years on from full hysterectomy - HELP!
Hi, I'm new to the group and am reaching out for your support. I had a complete hysterectomy and ovaries removed about 10 years ago (age 36) due to stage 4 endometriosis which resulted in a frozen pelvis and extensive bowel damage. After a long history of botched operations, I found an amazing surgeon

Back pain
Hi! 49 yrs . Been having back pain for over a year. Within this year changes in my cycle. Pain heavy bleeding etc. Have had diagnosis of thick uterus and small cysts on ovaries. Finally got into a gynocologist and he suspects adenomyosis. He has done a scope and biopsy. I go for my follow up tomorrow

Lack of understanding from others
Hello wonderful ladies, Just feeling a little disheartened. Since having my first laparoscopy on 4th October and being diagnosed with endometriosis I have felt quite alone. I find that women that I speak to in day to day life do not understand what I have been through, am still going through and what

Clear cell stage 2 ovarian - should my mum have chemo?
My mum had a large cyst removed from her right ovary (which was attached to old endometriosis onto the pelvic wall). Also had full hysterectomy too. The cyst ruptured during surgery and so the consultant has recommended carboplatin / Taxol chemotherapy 6 cycles in 3 week sections. They completed several

HRT ! I’m looking for advice
Hello beautiful lady’s, I’m in need of advice on HRT, Iv just had a full hysterectomy I’m 38 and I would like to be as natural as possible but without outing my body at risk of course, I want to see a specialist but who? Is it an endocrinologist ? Or a gynaecologist? Or a homeopath?

Very happy
I had total laparoscopic hysterectomy and was only laid up for a month- in fact I even forget it happened- really I’m happy to have it done- I was in pain two weeks out of every month. I have no problems from the surgery. It was also not very much pain at all but I was very fatigued

Hi... I'm 12wks post op for a full hysterectomy this week... Decided to have some romantic time with husband for the first time since surgery.. Which went well and apart from a little issue with my wound healing... Had everything removed due to endo and fibroids. So we done the deed but then bleeding

zejula or not?
I have OVC, 3C. had a total hysterectomy, salpingo-oophectomy and omentectomy. I have read that recurrence now is highly unlikely for me. I did well with chemo. Had two before surgery and 4 afterward.I am now in remission and my Ca_125 is a 5. Is taking Zejula worth it? I was told it may give 8 extra

Has anyone been able to opt for surgery/hysterectomy without going down the mirena / hormone route first under 40??
Hi everyone, adenomyosis was seen on my recent MRI and i have a history of endo. I previously tried mini pill and implant. My gyn wants me to try mirena but i dont really like the idea, i had a copper coil previously and had constant problems with yeast and urinary infections. Im 35 so they are dismissive

Can an Hysterectomy affect the thyroid?
A happy New Year to all My friend has suggested that her Thyroid stopped functioning within 12 months after removal of her ovaries 20 years ago Is this related ? She says the ovaries are the powerhouse of the endocrine system? I thought it would be the reproductive system? Not looking for right

Just Curious
When I had my Hysterectomy back in 2000, they found cysts and fibroids. Thus, they had to remove that ovary. Could this be happening with my Kidney and I just haven't been told to have a Cat Scan to find out? I wonder if I should tell my Neph about this.

Hysterectomy all done!
Hi my hysterectomy is complete and it was the best outcome I could have wished for. . Everything gone no endo left, and didn't need a bag. Surgeon thinks i wont need any more surgery. I'm so happy!! I'm in a lot of pain at the moment, a lot worse than before but I know it will go in time. Thank you

Questions about what happens after hysterectomy & unilateral ovary removal
Hi, Just trying to get my head round my options. I’m due to have an op to remove the endo on my bowel & will probably have a hysterectomy (due to adenomysis) and one ovary removed. I said that I’d prefer to keep my right ovary (which is healthy apparently) as I thought if I do that I might be able
