Holistic, Happy, Healing Hysterectomy
I had a subtotal
abdominal
hysterectomy
just under two weeks ago. My uterus was the size of an 18 week pregnancy and weighed 1.1kg when removed, so they did a vertical incision. They also found undiagnosed endometriosis, which they burnt out during the procedure.

"Focus" has left the room. How to get it back?
Hi! I just agreed with my consultant a couple of days ago that I'll have a "full pelvic clearance" surgery for endometriosis. I was pretty much obsessively worried about Endo before the appointment, and if anything could be done for me, and what that might be. And now that I have an answer, I just can't

Mid York’s BSGE referral and more
Hello fellow endo warriors, Has anyone any experience of getting referred to the mid York’s trust BSGE centre at Pinderfields? My consultant gynaecologist (at Bradford) wants to do a diagnostic laparoscopy to confirm stage 4 endo and bowel implications. She won’t just perform a hysterectomy despite me

adenomyosis Diagnosis
I was diagnosed with endo 5 years ago and diagnosed with adenomyosis on Friday. The consultant told me I have good egg reserve for the moment so to take my coil out and try and get pregnant straight away because I will need a hysterectomy in a few years! I’m 34, single, no children and now I feel numb

Chest pain
Hi all, its been a little while since I have posted anything on here. I'm currently waiting to have a hysterectomy, but the daily pain /struggle I am in, I feel so lost and trapped I don't know where to turn. Whilst I am lucky I have supportive family and friends, I feel like no one fully understands

What is the maximum time you can be on prostap 3 injections?
I have been on prostap 3 since October 2020, with add-back HRT, Tibolone, since January 2021, almost 8 months. I'm due to have the next prostap 3 injection next month. I'm on the waiting list for an "urgent" (been waiting almost 9 months); hysterectomy, cyst and ovary removal, with bowel involvement

My sister has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I'm new here so would appreciate any information given.
My younger sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the begining of March this year. What an absolute shock that was. Obviously devastated. I have joined this forum to try to understand the treatments and just what she is going through. She was diagnosed with stage 3c, and I have to say they were

Whoa
So I’m 52… have always been told that I was disgustingly healthy. Active mother of two. Then in 2016, I almost bled to death was hospitalized, blood transfusions and had an emergency hysterectomy. 2018 on annual blood test noticed platelets were in 800,000’s. Doctor looked at 2017 test and platelets

Starting the endo diagnosis journey but I'm still not sure...
Hello - earlier this year I started the endo diagnosis journey after nearly 20 years of traipsing in and out of the doctors with multiple symptoms. I've been told it's IBS, it's your hormones and you're a woman, it's just one of those things you have to live with. Last year I had enough, I started bleeding

Could this be Lupus? A very long journey...
Hello all! I've been suffering for 30 or so years with many symptoms. Since puberty I have suffered with absent seizures, hand shakes, joint pain so bad I can't walk, stiff hands in the mornings (my little fingers get locked and need to be manipulated), stuttering (when I'm not feeling good), rashes

Hysterectomy recovery tips
Hello ladies. I'm one of the lucky ones to finally have surgery, unfortunately for me a hysterectomy was my only choice left. I know it might not be the end of endo but I've made my peace with it and anything to try and have less pain, I'll do it. Anyway, it's almost been a week and the pain is starting

If you had a hysterectomy and/or oophorectomy- what was the trigger?
Hi, I have an appointment next week and try to anticipate what might be coming and prepare questions. It will be my first gynae appointment but I already have the MRI scan results via my GP. I have recto vaginal endo, my pouch of Douglas is full, I have DIE along my uterosacral ligaments, tethering

Why am I getting burning abdo pain nearly 12 months post surgery for ovarian cancer ( hysterectomy, omentum,BSO and node removal
I am 12 months post surgery and completed chemo for bilateral ovarian cancer. It was stage 1 C. This pain was present immediately post op and improved but now has recurred. It’s an odd burning pain. Is this common and if so what causes it and what can I do to treat it?
