Life going forward

Hi all, I'm new here.

have finally been diagnosed with fibro, I thought I was going mad with all of the symptoms, I had cancer 6 years ago with major surgery and chemo and after this was when the symptoms first appeared, I have decided to tackle this head on, no caffeine, no artificial sweeteners, all home cooked foods and avoid processed foods wherever I can, I try to walk everyday without overdoing it, and so far my flare ups have not been so bad since the healthier diet, I also take vit d, calcium, Iron and have B12 injections. Is there any other ideas that anyone could suggest, I know that not everyone responds to the same things but to be able to keep my job which I love I will try anything to keep this at bay. Many thanks in advance.

It sounds like your doing everything that seems to be suiting and working for you. The old saying if it's not broken why change it jumps to mind.

First of all great you've joined the forum I am liking your very positive approach , you've been through a lot and the fact your positive in your diet is extremely good it's obviously helping you and the vitamins as well. My bit of advice is take regular breaks when you can especially when it comes to working pacing yourself in between we all tend to want to go around busy bees like we used too before being diagnosed but the pacing does help and if at weekends your body wants to rest go with your flow I find Sundays more of a laid back day now ., it charges my. battery ready for the week ahead.

Hi, I’m newly diagnosed too, and am looking at starting a somatics yoga class in a couple of weeks....it’s been recommended by my doc so I’m hoping that will make my symptoms a little lighter xx
