Has anyone tried natural high
calcium
mineral water to help absorption of
calcium
. I am already drinking high silica mineral water which is supposed to displace aluminium which seems to be endemic in our modern lifestyle according to Dr Exley Phd.

high calcium
I’m not allowed as blood test shows have too much
calcium
! So no milk or yogurt or cheese etc I found mineral water taking 37%
calcium
and so that out. It pays to read label and have private blood test to identify problems. Apparently high
calcium
makes you tired and affects brain and heart

Calcium supplements - the latest advice is DON’T take them!
Additionally, a 2016 study by Michos and her colleagues suggested that

supplements may increase the risk of

calcium intake
I am trying to maximise my
calcium
intake but due to plant based diet and need to keep to 1400 calories a day getting 1200mg of
calcium
by diet along is hard! So looking at algae based supplement of around 450mg in two capsules morn and night. Already takes D3 and K2.

blood tests and zoledronic acid infusions
I recently asked for a blood test in-between my zoledronic acid infusions to see how my
calcium
levels are, I got a text from a gp to say that I only need a blood test 2-7 days prior to my infusion, it's good to know if I am still absorbing
calcium

calcium and gabapentin
I know
calcium
and gabapentin aren’t good to take within a few hours of each other. What about
calcium
foods like yogurt taken close to gabapentin doses?? Is that ok or does that decrease the effectiveness of gabapentin? Thank you.

Is calcium supplement necessary if one takes Denusomab ?
Dad has normal
calcium
levels in his blood tests. He has taken one dose of Denusomab 60 mg and has to take it every six months. He also had osteoporosis in some parts. The doctors write 1000 mg
calcium
to take daily but is that necessary if one has normal serum levels ?

parathyroidectomy can this halt osteoporosis
I was then diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism following high
calcium
in bloods. I had a parathyroidectomy following which
calcium
levels returned to normal in blood. My surgeon told me that the operation should also halt my osteoporosis. Has anyone else had this advice given to them?

Calcium/vit d tabs
Alongside alendronic acid, I have been prescribed
calcium
tabs. I started them, but every time I take 1, I'm getting awful constipation, tried halving and separating dose, same problem. Do I really need to take these?? I am now taking more
calcium
in diet than I was before.

Calcium and Levothyroxine
I've heard that I must not have any
Calcium
intake four hours before and after taking Levothyroxine, as the
calcium
absorbs the drug, lessening its effectiveness. Has anybody else heard of this?

Good diet so no need for Adcal?
GP asked about my diet and said I was getting plenty of
calcium
in my diet. He said
calcium
and Vitamin D levels were good on my last blood test and the DEXA scan last year was ok but if I was worried I could have another DEXA in a years time.

lacidipine
hello, is anyone on this
calcium
channel blocker? Just wondered as seems to cause least side effect in terms of redness feet/ swelling compared with, for example Amlodipine . Thank you. Think one of the newer
calcium
channel blockers so might be expensive I suppose.

Kidney disease scare
All the results came out fine except for low
calcium
, 1.91mmol/l. Does this indicate kidney disease?Creatinine is within normal range Urea is within normal range Urinalysis is good. No blood or protein. But
calcium
is 1.91mmol/l. Should I be worried?
