high calcium

I’m not allowed as blood test shows have too much calcium! So no milk or yogurt or cheese etc

I found mineral water taking 37% calcium and so that out. It pays to read label and have private blood test to identify problems. Apparently high calcium makes you tired and affects brain and heart

Does your blood test show this as a regular thing? Things can change.

I recently needed a full blood count test following an injury. The first test showed my calcium level was high (above normal range). So my GP requested a repeat blood test a fortnight later, and my calcium level was then quite normal. I continue to eat dairy.

How regularly are you testing before you start eliminating dairy?

Do you know where your source of drinking water comes from? Here in Wales I'm now in a soft water area, low calcium, but I was born and brought up in a high calcium area. Ask your water comany for info.

Cheers, Midori

Did your doctor TELL you not to have any calcium in your diet, or was this something you decided for yourself? Because sometimes high calcium means something else, like a parathyroid problem, or a vitamin or supplement problem.

Normally your body should adjust to whatever (reasonable--dairy, soft water etc.) amount of calcium you are eating in your diet.

My point: see your doctor before you worry about cutting dairy!
