Hi everyone I'm new here writing first time. I'm 29 years old. I didnt have any health issues untill 16-17 at that age my period started to be very painfull at age 18-19 I went to doctor for BV and candida they prescribed a lot of antibiotics including fluoroquinolones, since then I'm in constant pain, my life turned to hell. Symptom after symotom only adding over the years.

All my joints hurt and feel unstabile, even fingers and jaw,,, one knee is the worst menisus is a bit injured its been 4 years of pain on every step.... I have several hernias in my spine which are pressing the nerve they are not healing. All these injuries I got from simple movments or yoga swiming phisical theraphy I went to fix something but ended up with more pain and injuries, no matter how carefull and slow I was. I have bad sleep due pains and fake urge to urinate, at the best time I wake up at least once or twice every night to go to toilet, had years when I was getting up about 10 times.. Seasonal allergy and not only... Sunlight allergy. I have fibroadenoma in my breast. Legs are twitching after walking. Neuropathy like feeling or restless legs in lower part of the legs. Constant headache (i gues its from protrusion in my neck but when i cry my headache becomes unbareable). Horrible painfull periods with time it's only getting worse. I'm in bed for 4 days every 26 day.. its always been very regular but horrible painfull I just scream and cry and shake from pain, I had ultrasound of female organs 20+ times and once also an MRI they always said everything is fine. I also had anal fissure and hemhorroids which even after two surgeries didnt heal. I have small nodules on my thyroid seen by ultrasound.

Have granulomas under two front teeth even if theyre treated teeth but i think the dentist was not clean enough when did the root canals.

I feel very weak and exhausted all the time. depressed becouse I lost everything in life becouse of pain.. I had a successfull career and everything and now I struggle even to cook for me or do basic daily tasks. I really dont know what to do... Will be very thankfull for any help 🙏🏻

Here are my recent test results. (Done fasting and 8:30-9 morning) 17.04.2024

Ft4 1.18 (0.93-1.7)

Just to add I always had good hemoglobin but first time I tested my ferritin levels was 2018 it was 3 then started supplementing,,, one year ago it was 7 during one year I took about 100 tablets of ferrous sulfate and 35 days spirulina 3000 dose and my ferritin now got to 29.

Quercetin, vit c, bone broth, omega 3, magnesium malat, b9 and Q10 (cuz these two were low in bloodtest), and will start NAC soon. And ibuprofen on period days and when the hadacge is unbareable.

My additional questions would be:

- can I improve by adding iodine, if so how to do it safely?

- should I start taking steps to improve thyroid?

- how to help my adrenals and will it improve my chronic insomnia?

- how to improve my ferritin?

- is it a good idea to try LDN in my case?

- can I get better without taking hormones?

Thank you in advance for sharing any of your kind thoughts and ideas.

I went to doctor for BV and candida they prescribed a lot of antibiotics including fluoroquinolones

For information on fluoroquinolones, this website is well worth getting to know :

hormonesmatter.com/

And do a search for fluoriquinolones :

hormonesmatter.com/search/f...

One of the staff on that website has suffered with the same problems as you, and she has written lots of articles on the subject. There are 98 articles on the site about being floxxed. This is just one of them :

I’m very curious about her case. Looking at her test results… Is there anything she could do to adjust her thyroid or adrenals?

Hi Maramava, welcome to the forum. :)

I'm no expert, but I think a lot of those symptoms/problems could be caused by nutritional deficiencies. Your iron is low, your ferritin is very low, and your vit D is deficient. No B12 or folate tests?

- can I improve by adding iodine, if so how to do it safely?

Not without testing first to see if you need it. Nothing is going to help if you don't need it. And, if you are deficient in iodine - and that is a possibility - you should only take it under the supervision of an experienced practitioner. Iodine is not something to self-treat with.

- should I start taking steps to improve thyroid?

Ft3 3.16 (2.6-4.4) 31.11%

Ft4 1.18 (0.93-1.7) 7.20%

You most certainly should, with levels like that. But the problem is, finding a doctor that will look at anything apart from the TSH - which isn't exceptionally high - not really high enough given your Free levels. Was the test above an NHS test? If so, what did your doctor say about the results?

- how to help my adrenals and will it improve my chronic insomnia?

I'm not sure there's a lot you can do on your own. Your adrenals need further investigation by doctors. It looks like you have adrenal insufficiency and you can't really treat that by yourself.

That said, you do need to get your B vits tested because if they are low, that will affect your adrenals. Adrenals need lots of B vits and vit C, and plenty of salt.

- how to improve my ferritin?

Once again, you need more testing: a full iron panel. And probably loading doses. And that has to be done by a professional.

- is it a good idea to try LDN in my case?

LDN is usually recommended for people with Hashi's - high antibodies - so probably not. Your antibodies are not high. That said, sometimes it's worth trying anything, just in case, but I believe it's difficult to get it prescribed.

- can I get better without taking hormones?

Probably not. But first of all, you have to work out what is at the root of your ill health: is it thyroid? Is it adrenals? Is it nutritional deficiencies?

Not what you're looking for?
