Thank you to all the admin and everyone on this great resource for your time and knowledge.
Saw Endo a couple of weeks ago in Algarve, pretty depressing experience. He says not possible to get T3 prescription in Portugal. Says I need to lower my medication and wants to put me on statins. Can I please run my blood tests by you and see what you all think?
I take 88mcg Levo (Lactose Free) and 18 3/4 liothyronine Tiromel contains lactose. I weigh 56kgs. I am pretty sure I am reacting to the lactose, have had a sensitive tummy, and sniffly, since starting Liothyronine in January.
Since removing Dairy from my diet two years ago my chronic sinus problems have gone. Since this test I have increased Liothyronine by 6 1/4mcg but feel that maybe a little more levothyroxine may help. I have had a return of pressure in my neck which went away when I first started levothyroxine. Before the test, on the previous day I took Levothyroxine at 8am and Liothyronine 11pm.

Was diagnosed with Macrocytic Anaemia in January, but now it is just over range. It has been consistently falling since I started Levo last june.
I would really like to know if anyone is getting a prescription for T3 here in portugal, is it possible ?
Also does my cholesterol look high as my Doctor wants me to take statins as well.
Thank you so much for your help.

helvella's medicines documents (UK and Rest of the World) can be found here:
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
helvella has created, and tries to maintain, documents containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
This link takes you to a page which has direct links to the documents from Dropbox and Google Drive, and QR codes to make it easy to access from phones.
The UK document contains up-to-date versions of the Summary Matrix for tablets, oral solutions and liothyronine available in the UK.
There are, to the best of my knowledge, no T3 medicines available in Portugal.
I do not know whether there is any possibility of some sort of special being imported (as the UK does for some medicines), but I doubt it would be readily accessible.
You obviously are getting your T3 from outside Portugal. Can you source any Thybon Henning from there as it is lactose free and comes as 20mcg tablets. If you find that the dose is a little too high from you current 183/4 then you could try taking splitting them and taking 15 on one day and 20 the next which should even out around the same. Even though they say it has a short half life I don’t think it’s as short as all that personally.
Hi Star13, Thank you. Yes, Thybon Henning would be good but I think you can only get it with a prescription. I wondered about Vitamin D the units always confuse me.
Hi Helvella, thank you. I have looked at your document resource, it's great information. Yes there are none available here as far as I know either. I saw a post from years ago, someone who was getting Thybon Henning from a Pharmacy in Lisbon. My private Doctor says if I can get a prescription, she may be able to write a prescription for a compounding pharmacy but back to how to get the initial prescription!
I think Statins will just add to any problems. Be wary. Some great books on them written by the late Duane Graveline Space Doc, The Dark Side of Statins. Good luck.
Hi Marymary7, thank you for your response. Yes I am trying to solve problems at the moment not create more! Two Doctors pressurising me, I thought I'd better check on here. Take care.
I read Statins give you an extra day. Not worth the risk. My friend has become so severely disabled by them he is now in a wheelchair. His muscles are melting away and it can’t be halted. A known side effect.
