Hi everyone these are my most recent results, I am pretty sure the GP may freak out at my TSH however I feel much better on 150 levo than I did on 125 and my T3 level is well within range my antibodies were in the thousands at diagnosis in Feb 17 and are dropping at every test due to the brilliant advice I've had on here of selenium, gluten free also dairy free now and a suppressed TSH. I realise I need to stop the B12 supplements for a while and maybe go back on the VIT D from now but what im really interested in is the T4 to T3 ratio, ive seen you clever people work out how well one is converting (but im hopeless at maths) I feel very lucky that I found this site very soon after diagnosis and that I am feeling pretty well although I would like to take up jogging again which I don't seem able to do, so any thoughts/advice would be greatly received! Thank you in advance.
Good conversion takes place when the ratio is 4:1 or less.

I can't comment on Active B12, it's not something I've looked into, but your folate is too low. It should be at least half way through it's range and there's no problem with it being high if B12 is high. Your folate should be at least 26.45. As you were supplementing B13, were you also supplementing with a good B Complex containing 400mcg methylfolate to balance all the B vitamins and help raise folate level?

OH VITAMIN D 57.4 nmol/L 50.00 - 200.00
The recommended level, according to the Vit D Council, is 100-150nmol/L. You are way short. Why did you stop supplementing Vit D? Once we've reached the recommended level, we adjust the dose of supplement to a maintenance dose to keep it there, not stop it.
Thanks Susie, so can I be doing anything else to aid conversion or should I consider reducing levo and adding T3? my Vit D was 86.65 (50.00-200.00) and as it was summer and I love the sun I thought I could stop until October?? obviously not, yes I was taking Jarrows B complex with Jarrows B12 should I continue just with the B Complex for now?
Conversion requires optimal levels of vitamins and minerals, supplementing with selenium helps. As Hashi's can cause gut/absorption problems, have you checked for low stomach acid scdlifestyle.com/2012/03/3-... , any other gut problems?
If all the building blocks are in place and conversion doesn't improve, then a slight reduction in Levo and adding some T3 will obviously improve your FT3. Once your FT3 is good, you may find you can take up jogging again.
I have IBS I make and have bone broth take 50 billion probiotic and have some pepsin betaine, sort of following izabella Wentz ideas and I do take selenium. I would love to take up running again really miss it!! But I will keep working on vit levels I do have some thyrogold and considered halving my levo and taking one 150 capsule to thyrogold a day? I can't complain as feel 1000% better than I did and was only diagnosed in February of this year like I say feel very fortunate to have found this site so early! Susie should I buy some folate or just keep taking the Jarrows B complex?
I can't comment on adding Thyrogold to Levo, it's not something I have any experience of. I kept it simple, added T3 to Levo and tweaked doses, much easier than the fixed amounts in NDT.
For the folate, not everyone gets on with Jarrows B Complex for whatever reason. I did extremely well with Thorne Basic B, got my folate up from very bottom of range to very top in 2.5 months.
Most people feel best when FT3 is in the top quarter of it's range. With that range it would be 5.9+ but we all have our own individual level where we feel best, it's trial and error.
If the Thorne doesn't improve your level within 3 months, try a methylfolate supplement. If you restart B12 at any time, you'll need a B Complex though to keep all the Bs in balance.
