The most important question is how do you feel?

A few points -

- Ferritin should be halfway in range and yours is dropping. You need to supplement iron to get it back to where it was 6 months ago.

- Your vitamin D, vitamin B12 and folate are much better

- Your FT4 is below range but NHS ranges for things are sometimes below private labs in the UK for financial reasons.

Thanks for replying

I feel tired and achy, put this down to fibromyalgia.energy levels are better than 6 months ago but still tired

I didn't pay attention to iron levels but if they are falling then that would explain tiredness.i will bring this up with gp . Appreciate you taking time out.

Have you noticed your Free T4 (FT4) is out of range in both your tests?

It is worth getting copies of both tests and taking them to your doctor. Tell the GP that your FT4 is out of range.

And regardless of what the GP says insist the blood test results are added to your medical records.

If you Google the NICE guidelines it states you should be treated if your FT4 is out of range however unfortunately NHS lab ranges for FT4 can start at 9 meaning that the vast majority of people are considered adequate even though they feel absolutely terrible like you.

In regards to the iron levels - if your GP actually knows the importance of ferritin as both test results are over 30 the GP won't be interested.

Finally if possible have an active B12 test to confirm that you are actually utilising your vitamin B12 supplements.
